Permanent ban

To whom it may concern,

I am formally requesting a permanent ban from the "Best Buy" subforum.
At this stage, I find myself questioning whether such requests are even taken seriously here—but if you refuse to grant me this ban, I shall simply ensure I earn it myself.

You can always request a partial ban on a specific sub-forum.
If you start racking up bans there, you won't be able to escape them on the rest of the site because that constitutes a permanent ban.

As far as I’m concerned, a partial ban is fine, even though I honestly had the impression that everyone had finally calmed down and started communicating reasonably—despite those occasional flare-ups here and there. But they haven't been happening lately.
So, I have no idea what your problem is now. But like I said, it's your call.

Don't act like you're being clever here—I wasn't asking for your opinion or a deep dive into the subtext.

I've always wondered why anyone would actually go looking for a ban in the first place.

Is someone really that incapable of self-control—like, they can't just decide to stop visiting a forum they don't want to be part of, so they need an outsider to step in and force their hand...

It's just a disaster, honestly.

Or are people like that just being total drama queens? ☕

Here's a few more theories:

Maybe they hate how the mods run things.
Maybe they want out, but they don't want the mods pinging them about old threads.
Pure temptation.
Maybe it's messing with their personal life and they don't know how to walk away.

Asking for a ban is basically the same thing as saying, "Please, somebody restrain me before I lose my cool." 😁

Honestly, his explanations don't really matter here.
There isn't much left to explain, really.
