The movie is solid for what it aims to be—just a straight-up spy thriller. Honestly, the book handles everything way better, but we're talking about two totally different mediums here, so why get into it now... 😁

Pretty mid movie, nothing to write home about if you ask me. The plot isn't exactly groundbreaking, though the acting was decent—especially that scene where they take the plunge from the 8th floor...🙂

The Bourne trilogy deserves its own theme song

The Matt Damon version is actually a solid adaptation of the book, though I’ll admit the casting felt a bit young for my taste. Personally, I still prefer the 1988 version—it skipped theaters and went straight to TV, but it’s easily a class above the Liman version. Chamberlain was perfect, and honestly, F. Potente doesn't even come close to Jaclyn Smith. It’s a calmer movie with a much tighter narrative. If you haven't caught it on TV, track it down somewhere; I promise you won't regret it.

The Ludlum novel was absolutely brilliant, and I found the film quite solid as well.

The entire trilogy is top-tier and definitely worth your time to watch.

I actually liked it 😬, though. Now I’m planning on catching the next two sequels 🙂

Aside from LOTR, that trilogy is my absolute favorite. They're actually filming the Bourne Legacy without Damon / Greengrass right now—kind of like a spin-off. It’s hitting theaters next summer, and Edward Norton is playing the villain. The director is Tony Gilroy, who was one of the writers on all the previous films in the series.
