I jump every time someone touches me. in Health ·
You've got thin skin. Move this thread over to the health and wellness sub.
I honestly think a chiropractor can be helpful for pain management, but they can also make a catastrophic mistake.
Personally, I’d much rather see a physical therapist for some massage work than have someone try to 'crack' my spine.
My posture is terrible—I spend way too much time hunched over—and I'll probably need disc surgery in my 40s because of it, but I have zero intention of letting a chiropractor gamble with my spine in the meantime.
I can't stop peeing! in Health ·
Did anything actually work?

I’m dealing with almost the exact same thing. I’ve been forcing myself to drink more fluids over the last week, but even before that, I was struggling with urinary retention. It really started after an ER visit for some intense pain in my right kidney area. Turns out it was a bladder infection, so they put me on a course of antibiotics.

Ever since then, it feels like my bladder just doesn't have its full capacity anymore. On top of that, I’ve had this dull kidney ache for a few days now—not sharp, just a nagging discomfort, so I'm not entirely sure what's going on. When I'm in the bathroom, I often find myself having to physically press on my lower abdomen just to get things moving. Without that pressure, it feels like nothing would happen at all.
Night vision lenses in Health ·
I honestly think it’s best to just let the eye rest from any foreign objects overnight. That’s why I don’t quite get the urge to put overnight lenses on a child; with a little bit of willpower and some routine, they can manage just fine with standard soft contacts.
Hygiene should be strictly morning and night—you store the lenses in their case and start fresh every single morning.

Sure, it might be an adjustment for the kid, and maybe they’ll lose a lens or two on the floor at first, but they'll get used to it eventually.
It started on my thumb and just kept spreading to the other fingers. First came the itching, then this blister would form right in the middle and start drying out, splitting into these tiny little vesicles that crawled toward the edges. It looked more like a rash than anything else, stinging intensely along the perimeter. I ended up popping those little blisters and disinfecting them with whatever I had on hand—rubbing alcohol, various creams, you name it.
Eventually, the area where the blister sat just looked like scorched skin. The whole thing kept expanding until it basically "burned" through the skin on two of my adjacent fingers. Recovery was a long, drawn-out process. If I'm being honest, what actually helped was peeling away the dried skin at the edges to prevent the irritation from creeping further.

I don't think we're talking about a gnat bite—those things don't even bite—so it was probably a spider or some other kind of insect. You could head down to a CVS to see if they have something for it, or you could just wait a few months for it to clear up on its own, which is exactly what I did. Nowadays, there isn't even a trace of that rash left.
