Mostly looking for deodorant advice. Does anyone know of a good brand that doesn't use aluminum chlorohydrate? I read some stuff about Sebamed saying it isn't actually very effective. I’ve always loved Dove, but since it contains aluminum, I'm getting increasingly worried about the link to breast cancer.
I know 😢 I’m just feeling a little depressed right now... 😢 ...but one thing is certain: once you get cancer, you're going to die... sooner or later. I just can't wrap my head around that reality. I'm sorry... there's no way to make it feel better. It's been destroying me for a long time now. Not a single day goes by where I don't think about the end. 😢
I can't even describe the look on my mom's face when she walked into my room a moment ago and told me that Tom Vrban had passed away.

That’s actually why I stopped reading this sub-forum—this whole thread, really. I just couldn't handle seeing people lose their battles over and over again. It was honestly just too much for me to take.
Thanks everyone for the support What’s really weighing on me—and I bet it’s the same for 99% of people in this country—is this recession. It honestly scares me to think about when Suzana is going to start cutting hospital funding. Sure, maybe my mom would end up with free medical care because of it, but I’m terrified the worst-case scenario is that patients will start getting subpar or limited treatments—basically, less than what they actually need to survive.
Especially when you look at the statistics and see how many people die from cancer, where chemo sometimes feels like it just extends the inevitable.
I also wanted to ask for some clarification on something. She’s been prescribed chemotherapy, and she only has one session left. Why would she need radiation after that? She was originally supposed to have it, but her doctor mentioned she probably wouldn't need to go through with it. However, she *is* going to receive something else intravenously—something everyone gets after chemo and radiation. Does anyone know what that is?
Lisa White54@ I posted here about a month ago, but I honestly just lost the nerve to keep going. Reading all these stories about people passing away... it just hit me way too hard and sent me into a spiral. It’s about someone very close to me.
velvetfalcon44 said:Forecast Survival rates for Phase III depend heavily on the specific type of cancer diagnosed. For Stage III colon cancer, the five-year survival rate is about 64%. Cervical cancer has an average survival rate of around 70%. Pancreatic cancer, however, has a much lower survival rate since it’s often caught in Phase III or IV, leaving the five-year survival rate at just four percent.
breast cancer p.s. so you're saying there's no chance of surviving longer than 5 years?
I’ll say it again just to be clear: I went through the mammograms and the biopsies, and they didn't find anything. Even if I went back now, it wouldn't matter—she basically pointed them right toward where the issue was, so by the time they actually looked, it would probably have been too late for her anyway.
I'm currently reading up on meniscus tears What kind of symptoms do people deal with if they just let it heal on its own instead of going under the knife? The info out there is pretty vague.
