Cocky's Breakfast (2007) - Austrian film in Movies ·
Just a little bit of off-topic chatter; I’m sure that kind of subtitling was driving you all crazy.
I remember once watching an American movie where the audio was in English, but the subtitles were in Greek—basically just a bunch of ancient hieroglyphs to me! At first, it was incredibly distracting, but after a while, I actually got used to it and didn't even notice them anymore.

So, yeah, I think I've figured out the language. 😁

None of that is actually true at all.
And I don't see how they're picking on Mexicans, unless you're talking about music, which isn't even a specific thing about Canadians.

By the way, someone brought up San Francisco, but honestly, San Francisco doesn't hold a candle to Vienna because we are talking about two completely different worlds, much like trying to compare Washington, D.C. to Vienna...

Washington, D.C. just lacks any real charm since everything feels rushed and slapped together, and it really lacks that aesthetic appeal or those unique urban characteristics you look for, making it feel more like a massive suburb while Vienna is a city that truly feels alive.
I honestly don't know if there is anywhere else in the world that packs as much soul into such a small area as Vienna does!

As someone who doesn't deal with any of that in my own life, why on earth would I pay to see it at a theater for "entertainment"??!
😕

It just makes zero sense to me..
🤷

Neither the American filmmakers churning out this stuff nor the mindless crowds flocking to theaters to watch it for fun—I find the whole thing completely incomprehensible.

It’s honestly baffling to me that people feel a movie absolutely has to be pure, mindless escapism without even a hint of anything substantial or serious.
And you've even got this particular film leaning into those thriller vibes toward the end.
