Budget PC build around $450? in Desktops ·
Adam Moore3 said:I’d personally go with a Ryzen 5600G instead; picking up an i3 for $333 just doesn't feel like a smart move. It might cost you a few extra bucks in total, but you're getting a massive jump in both CPU and GPU horsepower.
That said, for what you're trying to do, you really can't go too wrong.

Are you thinking along the lines of this specific build:

Or perhaps one of these cheaper processor options:

I actually considered going with a Pentium myself,

or even an Athlon,

But I really have my heart set on a multi-core processor, and that Intel i3 paired with integrated graphics is definitely the most budget-friendly route Intel offers.

I would love to get some expert eyes on this build I’ve put together. I'm looking for a reliable home PC primarily for web browsing, streaming music, and watching movies—nothing heavy-duty here, so no gaming or professional workstation needs to be considered. My budget is roughly $1000. I already have my monitor and all the other peripherals ready to go.

Regarding the motherboard, do you think this is a solid choice, or would an ASRock board be a better companion for this Intel i3 setup?

My main priorities are longevity, speed, and making sure the system stays quiet during use. An i3 with integrated graphics is more than enough for my needs, though I am certainly open to other suggestions. I'm even considering switching to an AMD setup with a different CPU and motherboard if those components still fit the bill. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide! Best regards.
