So, my wife and I have a little guy who's about 3.5 months old now. He was actually born a bit early—his water broke unexpectedly.
It ended up being a C-section delivery, but thankfully everything turned out okay in the end.
He was about 7 pounds and 1 inch long at birth.

The little man is doing great, though! He smiles all the time. He’s even started "talking" to us already, you know? Making these little noises like he's trying to tell us something important. It really feels like he understands when we're chatting away to him.

We recently took him to see a pediatric neurologist, and they mentioned there was some oxygen deprivation during birth.
They said it probably isn't a huge deal, but we'll need to keep an eye on him and do some physical therapy exercises for his arms and legs.

Honestly? I'm just totally terrified. I know the potential consequences can be catastrophic.
What kind of stuff should we be looking out for?

Look, I'm definitely not a doctor or anything, but I think that's called fetal hypoxia... and yeah, I guess it could lead to all sorts of things, like ADHD, intellectual disabilities, or even cerebral palsy... but if your little guy is hitting his milestones like you said, then maybe it won't be anything that serious. 😘

If anyone here knows more about this than I do, please jump in and let me know!
