Where can I pick up a jacket like this? Not necessarily an exact replica, just looking for this specific cut—honestly, the photo is just a reference for the vibe.
Ideally somewhere in Chicago or New York.

Check out military surplus stores.
Gum chewing and focus: does it actually work? in Psychology ·
It doesn’t really help me focus or anything, but I remember this one guy back in high school—just a total character—who had this specific little quirk. Every single time he had to give a presentation or speak in front of the class, he had to make this constant, rhythmic clicking sound with his tongue. It was incredibly grating, honestly, like this repetitive, low-level buzzing, but even the teachers seemed to dig it. They actually let him keep doing it while he spoke because they thought it made his storytelling more engaging. It was weird, because whenever he actually tried to speak normally without the clicking, he’d start rushing through his words so fast that half the class couldn't even follow what he was saying. Some habits are just... interesting, I guess. ^^
Two days—or really, just one long, sleepless night that somehow managed to bleed into two. That’s basically my absolute limit 😁
A Walk to Remember in Movies ·
I honestly can't believe how few comments there are on this forum for such a stunningly beautiful movie :O (and kudos to the author for starting this thread, otherwise I probably would've just sat here in total shock 😁)
So, today—I watched a tiny ninety-second clip on YouTube (I didn't even see the trailer, mind you) and I just knew right then that I had to see the full thing. I downloaded it that same day and sat down to watch, and man, it absolutely floored me. It’s truly gorgeous. I’d watch it again right this second if I actually had the time 😁 so I figured I'd leave my mark here while the feeling is still fresh (though it'll probably haunt me for the next few days, let's be honest x).
In my opinion, this is the kind of film that needs to reach every single heart watching it—it raises so many questions all at once that it feels almost impossible to process everything immediately, and there's no way it wouldn't touch someone. The concept is pretty straightforward, which is probably why some people think it's nothing special. But for those of us who gravitate toward these kinds of stories, we know how heavy and thought-provoking it really is (so, shout out to all of you 😁). As for the tears... my eyes welled up, but I didn't quite hit a breaking point—that's likely just the "first time" effect. Maybe I'll be the outlier and cause a literal flood next time 🙂 and yes, there will definitely be a next time, if not later this week 🙂
I had so much more to say about this, but my brain has just gone completely blank and I'm struggling to find the words. I've always been a sucker for sad endings—they seem to leave a deeper, more lasting impression—so if anyone has recommendations for something similar, feel free to shoot me a DM 🙂
And I'll say it one more time: THE MOVIE IS FANTASTIC! (I just had to 😁)
Bakery recommendations? in Health ·
I honestly have no clue what they’re actually putting in there—it’s pretty sketchy—but thanks for the heads-up. Now I know which bakery to steer clear of. Luckily, there are a million other spots to grab a pastry in a city like Chicago anyway.😁
Bone tumors in Health ·
Hi everyone,
I’m posting here because I have a feeling quite a few people follow this forum, so hopefully, someone might be able to shed some light on things for me. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

So, here’s the deal. I won't go into a long-winded personal story right now—it doesn't really change the core of what I'm asking. What I’m looking for is insight from anyone who has dealt with, or is currently dealing with, bone tumors. Even if it’s a less aggressive type, please feel free to reach out.
I’ve spent a fair amount of time scouring the web (though there isn't nearly as much info out there as you'd think), so there’s no need to drop links to articles or studies. I’m sure everyone going through this has done their homework too, but let's face it—you rarely find anything specific beyond the standard medical jargon—even if that stuff is helpful in its own way. What I haven't been able to find, though, is what I’m actually looking for here: real, lived experiences. I want to know how people decided to start testing, how they realized something was actually wrong—for instance, I had this lump on my leg for over a year before it finally started putting on pressure—and what the pain actually feels like. I’m trying to get a sense of it so I can put my own experience on a scale, you know? Like, how often does it ache, or when did the intensity ramp up? Also, does the tumor tend to spread to other organs or other bones? I noticed a similar sensation in my right forearm recently, so I’m checking myself before I spiral into a full-blown panic, haha... Any firsthand info at all would be incredibly appreciated.

Thanks again to anyone willing to reply and help fill in these gaps for me. I’m just trying to wrap my head around it all. My hope is that this thread, along with your comments, might end up being a resource for others facing the same thing down the road.

Thanks a third time. 🙂
