Chat US: For True Americans Only, Vol. 2 in Off-topic ·

Look, the whole reason you’re ordering him is because he’s there to support you—he’s basically at your service in every way possible. He works 24/7, and in exchange, you help him achieve his ultimate dream... becoming the big shot in his hometown and finally getting that EU passport. 🙂

Honestly, just hire a freelancer online and have them handle it. 🙂

Grace Sanders24 said:Man, just move the chat so it isn't stuck at the top. Let it float down the forum naturally, for heaven's sake. ☕

Honestly, you sound like that one grumpy old lady from high school who’s the only one left single, acting like she can't show up to her 20th reunion without a wedding ring or at least some divorce papers to prove she tried. ☕

Benjamin Taylor90 said:Oh, give me a break! The users are spiraling into this conspiracy theory where Lacy is some big mastermind suppressing free speech—allegedly, because apparently, talking about food is "banned" now, even though that’s barely what anyone talks about outside of the main chat anyway. If this weren't so ridiculous, it would actually be pathetic. 😂

I didn't really get where people were coming from either, until someone pointed out: just imagine if Wiki actually became a moderator on this board...

That’s when it clicked for me. Everything suddenly made sense. There isn't any force on earth that could make me type a single word if Wiki were running the show...

That's basically how some of these folks feel about Lacy. It's as simple as that.

I found myself thinking of you today, specifically when the conversation turned to how wonderful it is that there are so many great discussion threads over on the off-topic boards. 🤣

🙂

I'm not really sure why that specific moment triggered the thought, but it doesn't matter...
The main thing is that you thought of me. 🙂

So, that’s that... ruggedscout76 totally blew me off.. 😳

My only hope now is that my post just got buried under all those endless walls of text 🙂

Moving away from the main topic for a second, I just wanted to drop in and say hi to ruggedscout76 🙂 🙂

Gerald Williams6 said:No, they don't have that right. Louise already talked about this. If you didn't catch that spamming reports for no reason is a big no-no, then maybe just stay quiet. A moderator can have a bad day, and someone could end up getting isolated without any explanation just because some person is weaponizing the report button.

Before you jump in to lecture us, go read the rules first, then come back when you actually know what you're talking about.

Like I said—and please, read a bit more carefully next time—they do have the right, but what kind of consequences follow from that is a whole different story.

It’s the same way that you have the right to threaten people in the chat or go after those who clicked the report button, but you have no idea what the fallout will be for you...
I'm honestly not sure what point you're even trying to make here.

As for the idea of a moderator having a "bad day"... that's just unacceptable. There are established rules they are supposed to follow. Whether they are feeling grumpy or in a good mood shouldn't have any impact whatsoever on how the forum is run.

I honestly don't get these kinds of threats... all this talk about "final warnings" and other nonsense... this isn't some boxing ring.

The forum has its own set of rules. We have points, penalties, bans, and moderation logs to handle things.

If someone wants to report a user, they have every right to do so 24/7. As for what happens next, well, that's entirely up to the community guidelines.

If someone keeps picking fights, they’re free to do so, but they need to realize there are consequences for that behavior.

Making open threats just because someone is clicking those little report buttons is honestly ridiculous.
