Could someone please help me make sense of this?
My exam results say:
OD -2.75 Dsph =1.0
OS 0.05 -3.00 -0.75 Dcyl ax 180=1.0
Dg myopia oc dex
Astigm myopicus comp oc sin
But on my contact lens box:
Right eye: D -2.75 BC 8.4 DIA 14.0
Left eye: D -2.75 CYL -1.25 AXIS 180 BC 8.6 DIA 14.5
It feels like the prescription from the doctor doesn't quite match what's on the lens box for my left eye???? Or maybe I'm just confused about how this works. Does anyone know anything about this? And why is the BC different too???
The lens for my left eye has these little marks on it. Last night I tried laying them horizontally, and suddenly my vision felt way more centered. Everything looks better, and honestly, it helped with the redness in my eye—which was getting pretty bad until I started paying attention to those markings. Nobody ever told me I had to watch out for them! I only actually started wearing toric lenses about ten days ago, so I'm still pretty new to all of this. I wonder if having those marks positioned wrong was what caused all that redness??
