Thanks.
I guess you've got a point since this is just my work laptop and I honestly have no clue where I'd even find something like that here.😁

It works, but my antivirus keeps flagging this virus constantly. From what I've read online, it’s probably not nothing, and I just can't seem to shake it. I'm trying to figure this out before I start swapping out hardware, I guess.😁

Nothing... just the same old thing again this morning.
So, I've been dealing with this headache for a few days now:
macOS \ Curre\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\macOS POLICY\SYSTEM|DISABLETASKMGR
Malwarebytes flags it, I toss it in quarantine, and then—boom—it’s back a few hours later. I even went as far as reinstalling macOS and wiping everything, but the thing just keeps popping up. Anyone else dealt with this nonsense?
btw have you heard anything about Dell? any experiences there?

will you?
Maybe check out the performance gap here before deciding on those $18 differences: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/A...768_MB/31.html
Where am I even gonna find a 460 at that price to test out the deal? 🙂I haven't seen one for under $140 anywhere
stormywolf39 said:hey, it's your call, but it's kind of a dumb move... you could grab a 6850 or even an Nvidia GTX 460 1GB for $1400, which would totally wreck this 5770... not to mention Best Buy might have a Sapphire 5770 for $366
Honestly, why even argue? Just pick up a Gainward or Point of View Nvidia GTX 460 for $1155 or $389 and call it a day. For that price, nothing else makes any sense
fixed it 🙂 switched stores, they've got a Sapphire for $1100
Back again, I guess. :P
So, I finally pulled the trigger on a 5770. Now I'm browsing and stumbled upon a VTX HD5770 1GB for $367, plus a SAPPHIRE HD5770 GDDR5 1GB for $467.
Does anyone actually know what the difference is here???
So, I mostly just cobbled this together today from their online store
- CPU: AMD AM3 Athlon II X2 255 (3.1 GHz, 2MB, 65W) Box
- MOTHERBOARD: ASRock M3A UCC - AMD 480 X
- GPU: PCI-E ATI Radeon HD 5750 1GB GDDR5/128bit
- PSU: 550W Xilence Office Edition
- RAM: DDR3, 1333MHz 2X2GB Kingmax
- HDD: 500GB WD Caviar Blue SATA II 7200 RPM
TOTAL: $900

but seriously, tell me how much cash you actually have and where you're planning to shop?
I mean, the gap between the Nvidia GTX 460 and the HD5770 is $33 (if we're comparing the Nvidia GTX 460 768MB to the HD5770 1GB)..
so that's why I'm asking..
I was thinking maybe up to $1000 just for the tower, so if I stay under 440, I could grab a monitor too.
I'll probably hit up Best Buy since they seem to have the best deals.
So, maybe I should just grab the 5770 since it's more expensive $33??
Is that actually better?
I mean, I’m not even looking to play much, but is it really true that I can't run anything at all with a 5750?
Hey, I need some input...
PCI-E ATI Radeon HD 5750 1GB GDDR5/128 bit
What can I actually do with this thing?
I know the Nvidia GTX 460 is better, but there's a price gap too, I guess.
