So, about a year or two back, I accidentally bumped into someone else's car in a parking lot. It wasn't much damage, maybe $33 just a scratch or something, but the guy was being super difficult and wouldn't just settle up with me, so we ended up having to call the police.
I had my hearing at the 🙂 a few months ago, and then a couple of days ago, this fine finally showed up in my mailbox. At the bottom, it says I have the right to appeal to the Supreme Court of the United States through this specific court (some local District Court, I don't think the city matters much here).
I guess I'm wondering... what should I actually put as the title on my appeal if I'm handing it over to the District Court, even though it's technically headed to the Supreme Court of the United States?
Also, does this whole thing fall under the old laws? Since the accident happened before the new ones were passed, I'm wondering if that means I might only have about a month left before Zastaara kicks in.

So, I guess if nothing shows up at my house for another three months, does that mean the statute of limitations kicks in?
And if something actually does arrive, it’ll say I can appeal the ruling, right? But then, how many weeks or days would I have to wait after that?
I know I’ve probably asked this a dozen times already, but I just can't seem to find the right thread...
So, back in July 2006, I accidentally bumped into someone's car while parked. It was pretty minor damage, honestly, but the other driver was being really difficult about settling it privately, so we ended up having to call the police.
About five months later, I got a notice saying I needed to show up at the municipal court. Since it mentioned I could submit a defense in writing, I went that route and filed a request for a postponement. Then, around March 2008, I received another summons stating that my physical appearance in court was mandatory.
I actually headed down to the courthouse yesterday and laid out my side of the story to the judge. Now I'm sitting here wondering... I'm assuming the old statute of limitations applies to me since the incident happened over a year ago, right? So, if the limit is two years...
Does that two-year clock still run toward my benefit through March 2008, regardless of where the case stands right now? I mean, is there any realistic chance this drags on for another three months? And if they hand down a ruling from the municipal court, will I actually have the right to appeal it, or am I just stuck with whatever they decide?
We’ve finally started those exercises. We actually went ahead and hired a professional physical therapist to guide us through everything because I really don't want to take any chances, regardless of what it costs.
When he's lying on his tummy, he manages to lift his head up. There's just one other thing... when he's on his back and we hold his little hands, he doesn't really lift his head. Well, I mean, he wouldn't do it at all until yesterday, but then again, he actually started trying a tiny bit this morning. 🙂
This is my first child, you know? And I honestly don't have any experience with babies at all.
I guess I'm wondering, around what month should he be able to, say, grab his own pacifier and put it in his mouth? Or, like, start sucking on his thumb?

Kids who went through birth asphyxia most often deal with muscle tone issues—I'm pretty sure your pediatric neurologist mentioned that too... You really should work on exercises at home based on what a physical therapist shows you. Just try to stay persistent and consistent, I guess; everything just depends on how much damage there was. Better to start as soon as possible.
It honestly makes me so frustrated that they didn't just tell us right away. We could have already been getting started on things.
But then again, maybe the reason they didn't say anything is because there wasn't really a need to when everything seemed fine.
There’s some diagnosis listed under code acidosis P 20.9. And the B.E. value is -10.4. Apparently, that's supposed to be closer to 0.
So, my wife and I have a little guy at home who's about 3.5 months old now. He was born just a tiny bit early, and his water broke a little sooner than expected.
The delivery ended up being a C-section, but thankfully everything turned out okay in the end.
When he was born, he weighed about 7 pounds and was about 20 inches long.
He’s doing really well, though! He smiles all the time and has already started "talking" to everyone. He makes these little noises like he’s actually trying to tell you something, and honestly, it feels like he understands whenever we chat with him.
We recently took him to see a pediatric neurologist, and they mentioned there might have been some oxygen deprivation during birth.
The doctor said it probably isn't anything major, but we'll need to keep an eye on him and maybe do some physical therapy exercises for his arms and legs.
I guess... I don't know... I am just totally terrified. I can't help but think about how things could go wrong, and I know the consequences could be pretty devastating.
What kind of things should I be looking out for?
