So, how do you actually deal with stress?
I've been living in a constant state of high alert for five years straight.
Is there any way out of this mess?

And let's be honest—it's never actually going to end.

Every single time I try to log on, I get hit with that "server is too busy" error message.
Seriously, fix this already.
I’m talking directly to the owner here.
Look, I get it—you’ve got a massive user base and things are booming. But does it really have to crash almost every single day? It’s getting ridiculous.

We're talking about those color-coded multiple-choice tests. Before that, you just get or borrow one of those manuals with all the diagrams where everything is laid out perfectly. It's a great guide for beginners, let alone anyone else...

I'll say it again, though. You just use common sense and your twenty-five years of road experience and you pass the test. Nothing fundamental has changed in the regulations. Just a few new road signs here and there.

And if I remember correctly, back when I took mine, you were allowed up to six mistakes😉

There were 12 points you could lose, but you couldn't miss more than two questions from the same category.
You can only mess up one crossover question, because that carries 7 points.
The total score on the test was over 100.
To me, the questions seemed pretty straightforward.
I think I only lost one point myself.
And man, there were people who walked away with a perfect 100%.
So, I really don't see why someone couldn't pass on their first or second try.
That feeling of falling in your sleep? in Psychology ·
Thomas Ward2 said:Ever get that weird sensation in a dream where you’re just... falling? Like the ground suddenly disappears from under you? And then—BAM—your whole body jerks so hard you snap wide awake. Did you actually feel like you were falling while it was happening?

If anyone knows what's actually going on with this phenomenon, I'd love an explanation!

Thanks

I used to get those sudden jerks in my sleep all the time. It felt like it happened every other night, even when I wasn't actually dreaming about falling or anything like that.

Usually, once I felt the twitch, that was it—I was wide awake.

btw, any chance you could bring some absinthe back from Canada?

Man, you can find it in basically any pharmacy in Canada. One bottle of the stuff is $17 liter. I'm actually running low right now and the withdrawal is hitting me pretty hard. I’m stuck in this endless loop of feeling miserable, my ulcer acting up again, and just feeling like a total wreck all day long.
Amanda Long30 said:.. You’d be better off finding some kind of relaxation technique—autogenic training, meditation, yoga... just look into it and pick one. 🙂
Self-suggestion and getting decent sleep are everything..
..😕 ingesting a 43% alcohol solution on the daily... yeah, no.

Look, that’s just herbal syrup you grab at a CVS or Walgreens. It’s plant-based. It isn't exactly hard liquor, but let's be real—it hits you much like alcohol does.
Rapid weight loss tips? in Health ·
Austin Phillips3 said:How much weight can you actually drop in a week or two without feeling like complete garbage or—even worse—totally wrecking your bloodwork? I’m talking about losing the pounds without that soul-crushing lethargy where you can barely crawl out of bed, or dealing with some medical nightmare because your labs went sideways. Is there even a "safe" speed here, or are we all just playing Russian roulette with our metabolism?

Look, can we please stop acting like losing weight is just about starving yourself? Seriously, give me a break! It’s not some magical disappearing act where you just stop eating and hope for the best. That’s a recipe for disaster, not health. Real weight loss actually requires effort. We're talking daily workouts, pushing yourself until you're sweating through your shirt, getting your heart rate up—all that hard work. You have to earn it. If you think you can just sit on your couch, skip meals, and expect a transformation, you're kidding yourself. It takes sweat, discipline, and actual movement. Why is it so hard for people to grasp that simple concept? 😬

Man, let me tell you about this time I was stuck in the hospital about a year ago. I ended up dropping like 18 pounds in just ten days! Now, before anyone starts judging my "diet," let me get one thing straight: I wasn't starving myself. I ate whatever they put on my tray, but honestly? That food was absolutely pathetic. It wasn't even fit for human consumption! How am I supposed to recover when the meals taste like wet cardboard? Seriously, what are they thinking?
I spent the first two days living on nothing but tea. Just straight-up tea. Can you even imagine? I was basically running on caffeine and pure willpower while everyone else was out grabbing full meals. Honestly, it felt like some kind of weird, self-imposed survival test, though why I'd put myself through that kind of misery is anyone's guess!
How on earth do you deal with constant stress and those intrusive thoughts that just won't stop racing through your head? Honestly, if I let myself spiral too deep into worrying, my stomach starts acting up—I get these painful ulcers and just feel completely drained. I’ve been trying this herbal calming syrup, maybe once or twice a day, but it’s barely touching it. A bottle from a shop in Chicago would cost $17. Look, if I actually wanted to feel normal and stop stressing out, I’d probably need to take that stuff five times a day, but there's a massive catch: it's packed with about 43% of some alcohol compound that hits you just like the real thing. If I take even a little bit too much, I feel legitimately tipsy, which is the last thing I need when I have exams to study for.

if you need a hand, just hit me up via PM👍

Sure, you can do it if you manually wipe everything, but forget about trying it on formatted drives. Those professional software suites are insanely expensive, and you need specific techniques to pull it off. Unless you've got a full lab setup right in front of you, don't even bother.

Joseph Peterson5 said:If you format it, then partition it, then format it all over again, your chances of getting any data back are basically zero.

That is just plain wrong. Look, sure, if you take it to some high-end specialized lab where they tear the drive apart, pull the platters out, and shine them under some crazy specialized equipment—I don't even know the technical specifics—but it's possible. It really just comes down to how much this data actually matters to you, because those pros aren't cheap. We're talking potentially $333 per gigabyte or something like that, though I can't give you an exact quote, but they might be able to recover almost everything.
