has also been reset.

Maybe try running a battery calibration? Might fix the issue.

When I plug it in, the screen shows it's charging, but then after just two seconds, it jumps straight to saying it's fully charged. If I try to power it up without the charger, absolutely nothing happens—it won't even turn on. Even if the battery were totally dead, I wouldn't see that low battery warning on the screen anymore; it’s just completely unresponsive.

I'm going to go ahead and try a few different things to see if I can troubleshoot this, and I'll let you guys know how it goes.

The machine is a Dell Inspiron 15.

How long have you actually been using this thing? Maybe the battery is just shot at this point.

Exactly. I've actually wiped a few of them using this free little utility

HDDLLF.4.40

It’s not exactly coming from the official manufacturer's website or anything, but honestly, in my experience, it gets the job done perfectly fine.👍

The only time it fails is when the chip is totally fried—then the program just hits you with a read-only error.

But when I leave the drive out, everything runs perfectly fine.

Just hop into your laptop's BIOS and double-check those boot priority settings.
