Using Saxenda in Health ·
It’s a shame nobody seems to have any experience here—apparently, it’s supposed to be effective for tackling insulin resistance. It’s essentially just those self-administered injections, similar to the pens used by diabetics...

$333 is the monthly dosage... but if I could actually confirm this works, I wouldn't care about the price tag 😁

Just saw some doctor on TV aggressively pitching Saxenda—claiming it’s some kind of miracle cure for weight loss and insulin resistance.

Anyone here actually tried it? Or does anyone have the inside scoop?

Who can even get a prescription for this stuff—and what’s the damage to the wallet?

I don't follow. If you already have your treatment plan figured out, why bother seeing a doctor at all?

A physician prescribes a regimen for a reason—yet here you are, ignoring the instructions and expecting things to magically improve. And as if posting on a forum is going to change that.

It’s worth noting—the price gap is actually pretty massive.

I'm with you on that—taking just 14 tablets isn't going to get you anywhere, and honestly, it seems overpriced for such a small amount. From what I hear, you really need at least two bottles to see any results.

If that Daflon is basically the same thing ingredient-wise, I don't see why it couldn't be used instead.

I had no idea Pilex was that pricey—we're talking two bottles $400. He insists it's worth the investment.

I’ve heard firsthand that Pilex capsules actually work—a friend of mine took two bottles back-to-back and it did the trick for him.

Afterward, he just used them for maintenance—taking them occasionally, though honestly, he probably took them more out of habit than necessity.

Supposedly they're quite pricey, but I figured I'd pass the info along in case anyone is considering them. I was a skeptic about this sort of thing, but he swears by the results.

Also, you might want to check your blood pressure; high pressure can often be a contributing factor to hemorrhoids, so it's worth looking into.
Mandatory pension funds: What are your thoughts? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Sorry for the late reply—I was hoping you hadn't moved everything over to Vanguard yet, given how much they've been bleeding this year. But clearly, you aren't keeping up with the financial news lately.🙂 Making a Financial Decision based on luck rather than actual data and research, I assume? 🙂

I’m considering shifting my funds between different providers. Does it make sense to move from a fund with a higher NAV (Net Asset Value) to one with a lower NAV? My theory is that they might have a better long-term investment strategy.

Basically, if I have $X amount, I'd end up owning more individual units in the second fund since each unit is cheaper than what I currently hold. Is that how it works?

Or am I missing something here?
Russia's invasion of Ukraine: Part 5 in War in Ukraine ·
It feels like nobody actually cares about the people over there anymore—grain shipments are trickling in, oil prices have stabilized somewhat, and Zelenskyy isn't dominating the news cycle every single day. Besides, we’ve got our own issues to deal with back home here in the States...

Is it just me, or has everyone stopped caring? It seems like the only thing left is keeping the business moving and ensuring energy prices stay manageable.
It actually feels like these number synchronicity patterns—those weird clock coincidences—tend to pop up more often when I’m under a bit of stress. Interesting enough.

Anyone else noticed a similar trend?
Statistically speaking, everything can be calculated—but if I’m being honest, I think I’ve pushed my luck a bit too far lately.

I suppose it’ll pass once I find a new hobby. 🙂

Every man scratches where he itches... Human psychology works pretty much the same way.
If you're an electrician, you're going to notice stores selling cables, junction boxes, or shoddy wiring.
If you're a hairstylist, you'll spot a hundred bad haircuts just walking down the street. Last month at a family get-together, a guy spent the whole time inspecting the neighbors' roofs. Well, he's a roofer... so that makes sense.
Basically, once we become experts or focus heavily on a topic, we become hyper-sensitive to it.
That's the logical explanation.
The weaker explanation is when those obsessions become extreme and point toward a psychological issue—usually psychosis.
A good example is people who try to explain everything through a string of numbers (you can see Yubit Sladojev over on Yubitu constantly throwing out numbers that he links back to Bill Gejc).

That’s true enough, though I wouldn't say it applies to me. I remember reading about this years ago and thinking how ridiculous it sounded. I even saw entire threads and debates on forums about it back then, and honestly, I just thought people were wasting their time on nonsense.

Over the last year, though, I've been constantly hit by these clock synchronicity moments—even though I have zero interest in following them or dwelling on them.

You have to admit, it's fairly surreal to be doing something and then check your phone only to see 09:09—almost every single day. Or 17:17, or 14:14.

We look at our phones so often these days that it’s logical you'll occasionally "hit" one, but then again, I rarely see any other times except for these specific ones.

For a long time, I assumed "something would happen" or that it was some kind of sign. Honestly? It’s actually starting to get annoying.
There's going to be more and more of it :-)
Arthur Campbell2 said:Telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, synchronicity, or any other flavor of the paranormal just don't exist—or, if I want to be incredibly generous and open to new ideas—they haven't been reliably proven by science yet.

Everything you guys are describing here is just subjective experience. Those experiences aren't proof of anything; they could be caused by all sorts of things—coincidence, faulty memory, bad interpretation, you name it.
Take me, for example. I had some interesting out-of-body sensations when I was falling asleep once, but I didn't walk away thinking I was actually leaving my body. It was obvious to me it was just a byproduct of drifting off to sleep.

Trying to argue based on "something weird and unexplainable happened to me once" is about as logical as taking a psychoactive substance and deciding parallel universes exist just because you saw some trippy stuff.
Just because something is unexplainable to you doesn't mean it can't be explained. I already gave a quick rundown of potential explanations for these "weird coincidences" in my last post, so I'm not going to repeat myself.

But hey, if you still think the universe, other people, or some kind of "collective consciousness" is trying to talk to you, then please, do us all a favor and ask them for the winning Powerball numbers. 😁

Russia conducted extensive research on this during the Cold War, and there is plenty of literature on the subject. It isn't established as an eternal truth—nothing is—but they had significant statistical probabilities. Try reading up on it... the world and its sciences didn't start revolving around you the day you were born. 🙂
I get hit by these "angel numbers"—days where I can’t seem to live without seeing sequences like 1717, 1414, 0909, or 2323. Then there's a phase where they vanish entirely before returning again. To be clear—it isn't some conscious effort to check my phone or the clock constantly; it just happens at the exact moment I happen to look up.

I don't see any particular significance in it, nor do I feel like anything is actually happening, which is why it's starting to get frustrating. It offers no insight, yet it keeps repeating 🙂

I've also noticed a secondary pattern during these phases—if I visualize a specific wake-up time in the evening, I'll find myself awake two or three minutes before it. Even if I set an impossibly early goal, say 5:00 AM, it works. Normally, even a loud alarm won't budge me 🙂

Anyone else deal with something similar?
Exactly—that’s my point. You aren't exactly picking up TV signals from the airwaves; you're tapping into a collective consciousness.

I suspect that’s how large-scale group meditations or prayers for peace operate. When massive crowds gather to meditate for peace—or whatever the goal might be—there have been reports of measurable decreases in local violence or even shifts in electromagnetic frequencies in those areas. I won't claim it's strictly proven by mainstream science, but the idea holds weight—it's as if everyone syncs up to that collective frequency and pours energy into it, which then acts as a buffer against aggression or conflict.

If you don't even own a TV, let alone use it to ARGUE with people about these things... how would you actually "pick up" an event? Something as specific as a Cessna crash?

Do you notice these inclinations in other areas of your life? Maybe try your luck at the Powerball or a few hands of poker, just to see...
Charles Wood73 said:I’m inclined to agree. There are moments when I find myself spiraling down these deep, obsessive rabbit holes about certain topics, just ruminating on them for hours, only to realize later—after stumbling upon a headline or a snippet on a news feed I rarely bother checking—that the rest of the country has already moved on to something else entirely.

The thing is, someone else eventually passes that info along... it’s not like the TV is transmitting it directly into your brain via telepathy.😁

@Andrew Doyle, maybe she reached out from another world—just a thought on why there hasn't been a response... you didn't exchange pleasantries, so the loop remains open. That's my take.
This is the one question nobody seems to have ever answered correctly—it’s probably been dragging on for decades.

A while back, I found myself thinking intensely about an old neighbor—someone from an address I left twenty years ago. Then, ten days later, I run right into him. It happens to people. But—and here is the kicker—he tells me, "We were just talking about you the other day..."

The implication is clear: at the exact moment they were discussing me, I began thinking about them. A telepathic phenomenon... I suppose.

Did you actually pick up a container at the drugstore? What's the plan here? Are you just going to walk up to the pharmacist and say, "Excuse me, can I have one of those things for baby food?" :-)
