I’m not entirely certain if childhood struggles act as the direct trigger for depression, but there’s no denying that those early traumas stay with us forever. I’d say my upbringing was pretty average on the surface, yet certain things still haunt me to this day. I didn't even realize it until I was diagnosed with ADHD and ended up seeing a psychiatrist, who pointed out how much of my current struggle stems from stuff that happened back when I was a kid.
Now, as for actually fixing it? Honestly, I haven't the slightest clue. 😕

I'm feeling the exact same way. Everything in my life is honestly great; I’ve got an incredible family, money isn't an issue, and I don't even have to head back to work until March, yet I just can't find any drive at all. If I could, I'd probably just spend the entire day glued to my computer screen.
With people coming over for dinner on Christmas, I really ought to start prepping the desserts today so everything looks perfect, but honestly? Part of me just wants to fake a bout of the flu and cancel everything. Maybe that's not such a bad idea...😈

So, I’m curious—does being attractive, regardless of gender, actually make it easier to land a job, hit your career goals, or just get ahead in life?

Maybe, but honestly, it feels pretty unfair.
If I can tell you one thing, though, it’s that back when I was at my peak looks, I wasn't even happy. I was totally obsessed with myself and my appearance, constantly chasing this idea of perfection😕 and tearing myself apart over every little flaw.
Now that I'm a bit older and carrying a few more pounds than I probably should, I don't give a damn about those things anymore, and honestly, it's such a relief.

Before I was dealing with this ADHD, I used to tackle life's hurdles without breaking a sweat. But now that things are hitting the fan, even something as simple as making lunch feels like an impossible mountain to climb. 😲

Well, that’s exactly why you end up hanging out on a forum like this; you wander in here and realize there are plenty of people dealing with things that are way worse than yours... so you tell yourself, "Thank God I don't have those specific problems," or you find someone going through something similar, which serves as a bit of an answer to your own struggles

I know that’s supposed to be comforting, but it really isn't 😕
What’s going on with this place, everyone? We’re getting so close to the holidays, yet all I see popping up on the forum is nothing but depressing topics.
And honestly, I’m not doing much better; I feel like I’ve hit rock bottom myself...😲
