The dress is lovely, truly—but nothing about it works for me. Those pleats? They just don't play nice with a peplum or those front extensions. I’d much prefer a short, crisp blouse—maybe paired with a blazer. This style is just far too overdressed for my taste.
Honestly, I haven't placed an order in years—and I still have plenty of stuff left over, which is all perfectly fine! Plus, they look great, so... If I were ever in a position where I actually had to choose (unlike my situation before), I’d definitely still be ordering from them.
You can get three items at once. It’s a bit pricier, sure, though there are cheaper options available—but the quality remains top-notch regardless.
I won't be ordering from them anymore—but I do have one more cardigan left in my closet, size 10/12. I remember always grabbing one size smaller from those German catalogs (like Quelle, BP, or Neckermann) compared to the French ones (BP, LR, or 3 Suisse); so, even from 3S, I still have a blouse in a 14 and a cardigan in a 12/14. Honestly, I always found the quality from the French brands much better than these others—though they were pricier, too. I had no idea BP was still around; I haven't seen any of those catalogs in ages.
Similarly, I used to buy bottoms a size up from both types of catalogs—which is pretty much how I shop now, anyway. 😁
Just for comparison (since I don't know where else you shop), looking at what's within reach right now: I'm an M in H&M, a 10 or 12 in others, a 14 in C&A, a 10 in Macy's (for pants), and a Large in Zara (for pants)...
You just have to try it and see. You might get it wrong—it happened to me all the time, and not just when I started, since every model varies—but you can always return it, so...
Bradley Jones3 said:My stomach is relatively small compared to my hips (though they've definitely grown over the last few years 😬), so I usually wear maxi skirts just under the bust to hide it 😁, assuming they're long enough, since I love them hitting right at the ankle.
Where can I find denim jackets like this? I was at the mall yesterday and didn't see anything. Does that Amadeus warehouse near the suburbs still operate?
Saw them at the boutique in the city, but they were pricey—well over $67, and I'm just not dropping that kind of cash 😠 I'll find them for cheap somewhere. I actually spotted them for about 20 bucks once, but even that felt like too much for something I'll only wear a handful of times. And trust me, you can definitely find them for even less than that.😬
Just wear it the way HB styled it—honestly, I love how it looks in that first photo, it’s much more flattering for our curves, maybe even a little daring with the skirt length. In my opinion, pairing a long skirt with a long shirt just doesn't work.🤷It’s a different vibe entirely—it just makes you look older.😁
At least, it's not for me. I’d end up looking even heavier than I am.😁
Right now, I wear it like this—I just pull the belt higher up on my waist, which does a pretty decent job of hiding my (well, 12—actually 7 years old now) pregnancy bump.🤣
And I'll be wearing it like this too.
Google "long skirt"—there are tons of beautiful, inspiring photos out there.😍
It’s not—not thick at all—it's actually a really cozy cotton skirt. I can already see myself pairing it with boots, chunky knits, and a cropped leather jacket once winter hits, so it's definitely a solid investment.😍
Lisa Myers said:I saw that black skirt today. It's good. It comes with a thin red belt too, right?
Yeah. You haven't tried it on yet?
I picked up this little blouse http://www.c-and-a.com/de/de/shop/sa...-118980-2.html (though it was easily twice the price🙂). If I tuck it into the skirt and throw on a wide cognac-colored belt—well, you know how good that looks.👍
Lisa Myers said:Ladies, I highly recommend this skirt from H&M. It’s priced at $33 and comes in this color shown in the photo plus black.
It looks bulky in the picture, but once you put it on, the drape is beautiful. It doesn't flare out at all. Honestly, I'd even go as far as saying it makes you look slimmer.
This one isn't bad either:
They also have it in black with a slit on the side. Just a heads up though—you can only pull that off if you don't have much of a tummy, otherwise it won't sit right. Same price as the ones above.
I ended up getting this one ($50) and it fits beautifully—definitely elongates the silhouette. http://www.c-and-a.com/de/de/shop/pr...B6cke/125700/1
Not being a snob—it’s purely about the fit. I started picking up bras at Target because once my favorite Italian brands disappeared from the shelves, I couldn't find anything else that actually worked for me. Plus, after my first pregnancy, I had to size up a notch. Eventually, I gave Target a shot—even though I used to avoid them because of the prices😬—and realized their bras actually suit me; the wider straps don't slip down constantly...
And honestly? I only shop the sales. That’s how I got into swimwear, too. Though it’s a gamble—some pieces lose their shape way too fast🤷
Even shopping at Old Navy isn't a guaranteed win every time. Regardless, I usually get about three seasons out of a swimsuit before it's done😬
I used to order through the mail-order catalogs like Sears or JC Penney. But goodness, I was just looking at the Walmart flyer and saw some cheap strapless options; those would be perfect since I’m always sliding my straps down when I’m tanning anyway😁
They might not even have them anymore—that was over a month ago.🤷 It’s a pretty dress, really, but it has this pointless little strap that ties in the back—honestly, I’ll just snip it off and wear it with a wide leather belt instead.
And meanwhile, that lawyer is off somewhere having her fun😁
I’d personally love to see them implement a casual Friday—just so I could actually wear jeans for once. You know, just throw on a blazer, a nice blouse, and some heels😍 Whenever there aren't any clients around😉
