I voted for Pavement because I’m currently in my whole Pavement phase... everything in my life happens in phases right now.🙄

You gotta be a multi-choice kind of person... I’d throw a vote for Silver Jews too.😁

And why the clones???🙄 🙄
Meet Joe Black in Movies ·
I didn't like it. Honestly, I was bored to tears. That movie has at least 30 minutes of filler that shouldn't even be there. Like, I really don't care about watching two minutes of dead silence where Brad Pitt and that actress just stare lovingly at each other—yeah, yeah, I get it, they're in love, I caught the memo 🙄 the whole thing is just so saccharine. I've never been a fan of those Hollywood flicks where the melodrama is so over-the-top that I can practically see some heavy-set woman in the suburbs reaching for a Kleenex to wipe away rivers of tears. Give me a break. And that ending? Absolute nonsense. Even my mom, who was totally losing it by the end of the three-hour slog, snapped: "If he brings back that guy from the beginning, I'm actually done..." 😁

And don't even get me started on his hair 😁 just pure nightmare fuel
I know I’m being totally unoriginal here, but I really saw myself in Amélie. I used to look at the world through this weird, distorted lens just like she does. And yeah, maybe I am still a little too childish for my own good...😳

😕 I honestly don't get what part of your previous post was confusing. Is it just that you can't wrap your own brain around your overly complicated sentences? 😁

Look, just take a long, deep breath, go back and read your own damn post again, maybe sleep on it until it actually sinks in, and then come back and try to explain to us what you actually meant by any of it... 🙄

BORING! STUPID! COMPLETELY POINTLESS!

That's all I've got to say about it.

Too late😢 for me, thank god I didn't hit the AMC Theatres😬 because if I had wasted my money $6.75 on a ticket for this garbage, I might've just ended it all right then and there. 🙂

Look, Kate Hudson is cute, she's hot, and she's generally alright, but the movie itself is total trash. 😢

🙄 🙄 🙄

Comparing Star Wars to a movie like this? 😂 I honestly have nothing to say.😢

Personally, I thought the movie was beautiful. It actually makes you sit there and think about things while you watch... and that soundtrack 😍 hits different.😍

It isn't just some mindless flick, and that matters. I've seen so many movies that I forget the second the credits roll... but this one? This one actually stuck with me.

honestly, he's just boring me to death 😢

BUT IT'S TOTALLY WRONG😁

Nah, that’s just my personal take on them.😳 They don't mean anything to me, honestly.😳

Arwen Evenstar said:Honestly, anything by White Stripes works for me.

I guess I have to agree with her on that one.😳

And for the record, I’ve always thought The Smiths were totally overrated... I just never really got what the big deal was about them.🙄
If your taste in music is different, your whole vibe changes too... look, I’m sorry if I’m leaning into stereotypes here, but in my book, guys who only listen to country music usually dress 😢... at least most of them. Honestly, I feel like I'd have absolutely nothing to talk about with a guy like that. And since first impressions are mostly about how you look, there's just no way I'm being attracted to some dude walking around in a half-unbuttoned white shirt, wearing a heavy gold chain and a tacky signet ring.😳I don't want to sound like a total snob, but that's just the reality of it.

On the flip side (and I think someone already mentioned this), no two people ever have the exact same musical taste... but I really want us to be on the same page, roughly speaking. I live to talk about music and the bands I love, so it would be nice if he actually had a clue what I was talking about.

So, I’ve been listening to I'm Wide Awake... and honestly, it’s good. At first, those little coughs at the start of every track were driving me absolutely insane—like, okay, we get it, you're some indie lo-fi artist just trying to look cool for the hipster crowd🙄 . But somehow, it’s actually grown on me. I can't even put my finger on why. I guess I'm just in one of those moods where this kind of music actually hits right.😳

Look, I'm Jeff too...

You scored higher than 47% on deepness
You scored higher than 12% on angryness
You scored higher than 96% on niceness

but honestly, even I didn't realize I was such a legend.😍😬
Weezer in Music ·
I’m telling you, their albums just don't hit the mark😳 Sure, they’ve got a few decent tracks scattered around here and there, but as full-length listens? Absolutely not.😢

"Island in the Sun" is actually pretty catchy.🙂

watched... total garbage. I feel like I just wasted ninety minutes of my life I'll never get back... honestly, I would've been better off counting the tiles on my kitchen floor😢
Closed movie theaters in Indianapolis in Movies ·
Jeremy Bishop5 said:Most of you probably heard about this absolute nonsense... actually, maybe it isn't just nonsense... the staff at the local cinema in Indianapolis haven't seen a paycheck in three and a half months, so they decided to go on strike—just 14 days before the final installment of Star Wars hits theaters...😠 😠 😠 😠 😠 😠 😠 😠

Honestly, I'm losing my mind here. It’s just not right. And it’s not just about me—think about how many people are going to be screwed because they won't be able to catch the last Star Wars movie on the big screen. Some will end up buying bootleg copies, others will just wait for it to hit streaming, and some will hold out until it's on cable. A month before this strike even started, the High School for Business in Indianapolis launched a campaign to save the theaters because attendance had been cratering for six months straight (I mean, there were only 22 people at one of the early screenings of The Aviator). Now, everyone is just crossing their fingers and praying the theaters stay open until that big May 19th date...
🙂

I had absolutely no idea this was happening until now... man, what a backwater town we live in.😢
The Grudge (2004) in Movies ·
I just finished watching the English version, and honestly? It’s terrible. It feels totally hollow, too. There isn't even a solid backstory for the ghosts running around that house and killing everyone left and right...🙄The Ring is way better. At least that one actually has a complex plot instead of just nothing.
Big Fish in Movies ·
I saw that one ages ago. I have to admit, it’s easily one of the best movies I’ve ever watched... I wasn't expecting much to begin with, so the whole thing caught me totally off guard...🙂 It's fantastic... though, honestly, I've never really been a fan of Burton's...😳
Cream and Jam in Movies ·
velvetcrane85 said:Did they actually break up or what...????

Nope, 😁 people were just walking around. 🤔 At least that's my take.

The lead actress is his wife, right? And that little girl at the end is actually his kid, if I'm reading the credits right... so the whole movie is basically semi-autobiographical.
