Is Michael Bay actually a bad director? in Movies ·
Michael Bay is actually a great director... regardless of how much people love to trash him... I guess he's just your typical modern New Age filmmaker with a totally fresh style, which he really proved through his work on The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and the new Friday the 13th, not to mention Transformers and stuff.

The first 15 minutes are a bit of a drag, I guess, since they're kind of stretched out like most movies in this genre, but things pick up and it's decent fun later on😉

I mean, are you guys even happy with how the picture turned out?😉))))Honestly, the images are always smaller anyway. I’ve never had an issue when they were larger, but now... I don't know.

A massive billboard, huh? 😉))Heh... whatever, I guess it doesn't matter now, at least there's something worth watching 😉

Look, I guess everything comes down to personal taste, but personally, I thought the movie was fine. It’s got funny moments, decent dialogue, and of course, a killer soundtrack😉which is enough for me😉

I'm not sure if anyone else has started a thread on this little flick yet... but I figured why not...
So, I caught this movie last night, and I have to say, it's actually pretty cute and funny. The young cast really delivers some interesting performances—you've got AnnaLynne McCorde playing a sexy cheerleader, Danneel Harris from One Three Hill as a closeted lesbian, and then that lead duo, Nicholas D'Agosto and Eric Christian Olsen (who we know as Hayden Pennetierre's boyfriend in Heroes and basically a young Jim Carrey in the Dumb and Dumber sequel), plus Molly Sims from the show Las Vegas😉
Go ahead and watch it😉

Series of Wonderful Maladies (produced by HBO) premieres on June 9, 2009. I really hope the show turns out to be any good and that the pilot actually lands... fingers crossed, I guess.😉
I haven't gotten around to watching that movie yet, but I definitely plan to, hopefully😉I actually just finished watching the remake of REC, Quarantine, on DVD recently... my overall take is that it was alright. The plot stays consistent, the acting is solid, so all in all, it was okay... what do you guys think about it?
Look, it's true that... I've seen those movies... they're empty... but the ones I listed are actually great films. I guess you can't call them Oscar-winning films, because those aren't even made with that specific strategy; they're made to entertain an audience, which they definitely did, but they're still pretty high quality when you weigh everything up—the acting, the director, the screenplay, all that stuff.
I guess it's just plain stupid to even compare originals to remakes, mostly because of the massive gap in eras and budgets. Most of the classics come from the 70s or 80s and they have their own charm, sure, but remakes spark new interest and are made with way more money, looking much sleeker with better effects and more polish. We could argue about quality forever, but there are some genuinely great remakes out there—take the 2003 Texas Chainsaw Massacre, My Bloody Valentine 3D, or Friday the 13th, for instance. Then you have the ones that are just mediocre, I suppose, like Black Christmas and Halloween.

Fine, go ahead and shoot if you think you're right😉))hehehehhe..
Look, calling her unlikable... hmmm, I don't know about that. People might find her beautiful or ugly depending on their taste, but saying she's unpleasant? I just don't see it. She seems really sweet, and from everything I've seen, she’s been great. Even those clips of her private life suggest she's actually quite nice... then again, who knows? It's all just speculation, I guess...

As for Simply Irresistible, I guess it’s okay—kind of funny, decent acting, and a cute plot... it just gets a bit too cheesy for my taste. But man, The Air i Breathe, The Return (which is such a gripping thriller, honestly!!!), Possession (a new thriller I caught, though it hasn't even hit US DVD shelves yet), and Southland Tales (definitely misunderstood, really just for a niche audience since it's so weird, which is typical for Richard Kelly, the director behind Donnie Darko) are all excellent films!
I have pretty high expectations for her new movie Veronika Decides to Die, the series The Wonderful Maladys—which is an HBO production, so that says a lot about the quality!!!—and the latest Marlowe where she stars alongside Juda Low!

There are plenty of skinny blondes out there just like her...
And I watched The Air I Breathe and it wasn't anything special, she just cries through half the movie.

Look, people have their own tastes and you're entitled to your opinion, I guess...
But as for The Air I Breathe, the movie is great—it has an excellent plot, especially the performances by Sarah Michelle Gellar and Forest Whitaker, which critics actually agreed on... the film has a cohesive thread; maybe watch it again and then you'll finally get it.

But honestly, it’s probably just a rumor. I've seen plenty of similar stories, and even Joss Whedon, the guy who created Buffy the Vampire Slayer, basically said "yeah right" about it.

Look, she was totally Hit.In back when Buffy the Vampire Slayer was at its peak. Once she decided to ditch the show for movies, her popularity just tanked immediately... though I guess she still has potential. She looks incredible in these photos, but if you ask me, she probably needs to put on a few pounds.😉))

Back to the point; she's just an uninteresting, mediocre actress with a plain face...

A highly talented actress with a natural look😉))just so I can correct you... hehehe
just pure misery and a whole lot of lip gloss 😢[/QUOTE

Oh god... if Sarah is just "misery," then we’re really in trouble... haha, funny, I guess...
She’s actually one of those rare actresses in Hollywood who hasn't gone under the knife yet, though I suppose her only real issue is that she hasn't quite hit that top tier. It feels like she always gets bypassed, even though she clearly has talent (just look at The Air I Breathe), but maybe things will finally shift soon since her new movie, Veronika Decides to Die, is coming out. Apparently, her performance is already getting some serious Oscar buzz over on IMDb:COM, for whatever that's worth!
