Mosquito bites and stings

Honestly, there is something seriously off about the mosquito situation this year.
They are absolutely everywhere, just like everyone else has been saying, but the aftermath of a bite is what’s truly bizarre. The redness lasts forever, and I've even seen some bites get completely inflamed and infected.
I am starting to get genuinely uneasy about the possibility of picking up some nasty disease from these things.
I have no idea what is going on, but it seems obvious that these mosquitoes are carrying all sorts of toxic nonsense.
