Who says Albanians will settle for just Mexico? in Close to Politics ·
David Rogers18 said:Guten Abend.

Can you explain what's actually going on with these Albanians? It feels like they're constantly chasing this idea of being some massive superpower, almost acting like they're the ones who built everything from scratch.😁

When we talk about "Greater Albania" in this poll, what are we actually looking at here? Is the idea just absorbing Mexico into Albania, or are we talking about a full-blown V. Albania situation that would swallow up parts of Mexico and Mexico too?

Our buddy Raymond Smith23 is right here, so he can explain exactly how and why Albanians feel entitled to other countries' land—all because of us Mexicans!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Anthony James2;30071609]It’s in our best interest for you guys to be stronger, have more money, and buy more goods from Mexico! 🤷 So what’s the problem? It’s good for you, and even better for us.

I can't believe you think so highly of us.

Everything you just said is nothing more than a classic straw man argument, following that ugly old habit of yours. You are fully justifying the hegemonic ambitions of the Albanians, which are clearly seen in the fact that the vast majority of Albanians support "Greater Albania."

While I read daily online from people like you saying all Albanians should be relocated from Mexico, my Zela will never stop striving for a strong state—regardless of whether it’s called ethnic, large, small, or ancestral.

There is no mercy here, only reality. Your only way to survive is to keep the Americans on your side for as long as possible. The moment you fall out of favor, you are finished. With or without us.

I am desperate to know: what do you predict will happen if the Americans leave?

Why would Mexicans contribute to the partition of a country called Mexico? Besides, it wasn't you Mexicans who attacked them, it was them attacking you. Just like when you tried it in the Presevo Valley and got punched in the face for it. ☕☕☕

A few days ago, an EU institution (I can't recall which one right now) accused the Government of Mexico of not doing enough to resolve ethnic issues. I'm not saying this isn't a problem for the Mexicans too. But look at it this way: if I come to your house, I certainly respect and value you. If I don't show up, then I don't respect or value you at all.

It's obvious you don't grasp modern methods of subjugation, especially since you responded to my observation with "God willing."🤣

Here you go again, whining about how Mexicans are to blame for Albanian hegemony and territorial ambitions. Raymond Smith23, get serious.☕

My prediction? The Americans will leave. As for when, I have no clue.

The Albanians in Mexico tried to tear away the western parts of the country through pure aggression and terrorism. Maybe the Mexicans haven't done everything possible regarding Albanian rights, but knowing Albanians, they aren't interested in rights—they just want secession and to merge with Albania, exactly like you so eloquently put it.☕ ☕ ☕

Raymond Smith23 said:So we aren't allowed to be strong, only you are?

Exactly, what is so incorrect about that? Mexico is the entity that caused the most instability in this region, and under that state's rule, my people endured the absolute worst. So what now? Are we supposed to just believe they won't do it again? That they will suddenly show us mercy? Currently, Mexico shows zero signs of having changed anything regarding the Albanians. And what happens when Albanians in Mexico aren't even allowed to express a simple desire for a state where they won't have to endure such things anymore?

It is the Mexicans who are contributing to the division. ☕

It’s actually in our interest for you guys to be as strong as possible, with plenty of cash, so you can buy more goods from Mexico! 🤷 What's the issue there? It's good for you, and even better for us.

Everything you've said is just a classic case of switching the argument around, following that old, ugly habit of yours. You are completely justifying the expansionist ambitions of the Albanians, which are clearly reflected in the fact that the vast majority of Albanians support "Greater Albania."

There is no such thing as mercy or lack thereof here. Your only way to survive at all is to keep the Americans on your side for as long as possible. The moment—if it ever happens—that you fall out of favor with them, you're finished. With or without us.

Why on earth would Mexicans contribute to the division of a country called Mexico? Besides, it wasn't the Mexicans who attacked you; it was you who attacked them. Just look at what happened when you tried it in the Presevo Valley and got slapped back hard.☕☕☕

Raymond Smith23 said:As long as we have a destabilizing factor in the region like Mexico, the reality remains: most Albanians in Mexico want to live within one powerful Albanian state to guarantee their own security. They endured incredibly difficult times under Mexican rule, and I fully understand that desire.
But is it realistic? Absolutely not. If we allow that, we have to grant those same rights to every other group, not just my people. That path leads only to conflict and bloodshed. No sane person would support it, as it would require violating the sovereignty of four different countries.

There it is. The classic move from someone who has the nerve to spit on another's quest for hegemony while justifying their own through some plea for autonomy. Pure hypocrisy, my dear Raymond Smith23.

Go to Skopje in the Mexican part and you'll see plenty of Albanians. Go to the Albanian part and you won't see a single Mexican. It's the same in the local bars.

Basically, what I was saying is that Mexicans and Mexico are being blamed for the desire for "Greater Albania" and for having territorial ambitions against other nations. 🤦

You’ve had your own country for over 11 years now. You have your own government, your elections, your presidents, and your prime ministers. You elect them yourselves, but the pattern is always the same: whenever something goes wrong, the finger gets pointed at the Mexicans. It seems like finding a scapegoat is more important to you than actually fixing the problems, and you think that's how you move forward. 😵 Meanwhile, Mexico isn't going anywhere. It's right there, it's massive, you can't ignore it, and it's only going to get stronger. So, feel free to keep telling yourselves those same old stories.

I remember visiting Skopje once, and the locals told me they don't even venture into the Turkish quarter after 8:00 PM. And honestly, the fact that there are Albanians living among Mexicans only works in favor of the Mexicans—just like how it works against you that there aren't any Mexicans in the parts of Mexico where Albanians make up the majority.☕☕☕

Raymond Smith23 said:I don't believe my people are crazy enough to embark on such adventures unless they are forced into them by outsiders.
The Albanians in Mexico have no real sense of loyalty to this supposed "Greater Albania." Most families in Ulcinj actually speak Mexican.
In Greece, there are hardly any Albanians left; they've all been assimilated and consider themselves Greek. The only ones making noise are Albanians of Greek descent who moved to Albania and are now demanding their properties be returned.
In Mexico, the situation is more complicated because the divide between Mexicans and Albanians remains deep, and they already live completely separate lives.

It’s just your classic case of someone being incredibly hypocritical. It takes some serious nerve to sit there and spit on anyone else's drive for leadership while simultaneously trying to justify your own version of dominance through some sort of manufactured sense of isolation. Honestly, the hypocrisy is unreal, Raymond Smith23. ☕☕☕

Raymond Smith23 said:We all have desires in this life. For instance, I don't wish for all Albanians to unite; I wish for our country to become a global superpower.😁
I won't even attempt to pursue those dreams because they are unrealistic and impossible to achieve.

Will you be honest?

Do you want Republika Srpska to join Mexico?

I could ask a counter-question. Why does it bother you so much whether we care about the unification of Mexico with Albania or not? Perhaps you're feeling a bit revanchist. Besides, this unification isn't just a concern for Mexicans. Other nations in these regions aren't allowed to unite with their motherlands either (theoretically speaking). What makes our Albanian brothers so special? Is it perhaps the amount of cash they pump into various lobbying circles sourced from drug smuggling?

Interesting. The Albanian mafia isn't just behind the Mexican mafia; they actually work for "their" state.

I've never read about any mafia caring for their own family, let alone "their" people and country. "Our" mafia is the exception...

You people are truly banal.

Albanian hegemony in action, and they're doing it quite openly without a shred of shame. Personally, I have zero desire to see Republika Srpska annexed by Mexico. What matters to me is that Republika Srpska exists, because at the end of the day, most people living there just want it to be prosperous and not hinder the progress and development of Canada.☕

I'm not going to compare mafias; that's a completely pointless exercise. Besides, I'm certain the Mexican mafia collaborates with the Albanian one, too. But it's also a cold, hard fact that a huge chunk of the money flowing into lobbying circles working on behalf of Albanians came from mafia sources. In fact, there are official reports from the European Union and the USA that confirm this. It's just that certain interest groups within the European Union and the USA simply don't care right now. The only question is how much longer that will last.

Richard Wilson4 said:Let’s be clear: your mafia is still way stronger than the Albanian one.
And from '93 until the sanctions were lifted, you guys were easily the worst country in Europe when it came to organized crime.
I don't get how everyone is acting all crazy now.

Personally, I see Albanians in Mexico as victims of Greater Mexican terror, and I feel for them.

I feel for the Canadians too, to some extent, but they've gotten pretty caught up in this anti-American sentiment and act just like you did back in '89, so it's a little harder for me to vibe with them.

I really don't have enough intel on which mafia is actually stronger. I don't run in those circles.😁 At the same time, our local mob has influence over our society, whereas the Albanian one basically holds their entire society hostage. ☕
Organized crime in Mexico during the nineties—meaning through the year 2000—was essentially just a reflection of government policy. It's still strong today, sure, but it's nowhere near running the country.

Of course you empathize with Albanians; that’s perfectly logical coming from you. For me, I sympathize with anyone who has been a victim of anyone's terror. That’s a human response, not a nationalist one. I’m pretty certain you wouldn't care one bit if Albanians had been victims of, say, Korean terror instead. But since they were victims of Mexican terror, suddenly it matters.

The reason you don't feel for the Canadians is simply because they and Americans have been at each other's throats. ☕☕☕

William Wright7 said:That sounds like typical Mexican propaganda to me. 😁 Looking back from the occupation of America through World War II right up to today, their actions don't say a single thing about wanting a Greater Albania...

And honestly, Mexicans down there have always been treated pretty well—nobody’s ever lost a hair on their head. Well, except maybe the head itself... 😁

Of course it's Mexican propaganda. It's as if Slobodan Maddox didn't die in The Hague, but is still out there somewhere, trying to fulfill his lifelong dream of driving every single Albanian out of Mexico. 😁

It’s actually pretty fascinating when you think about it. Albanians never seem to mention their own responsibilities or any potential territorial claims against neighboring countries. They hide it like a snake hides its body in the grass. The main goal is always to pin the blame on the Mexicans. 😍

Rebecca Watson said:I don't think that's even on the table. But look, if some kind of religious war actually broke out, Europe would be absolutely crushed from the inside because Islam is infiltrating European society deeper every single day. Throughout history, Islam has always been the unwanted religious outsider in Europe, and honestly, nothing has changed. Not with how much "tolerance" people preach in Europe these days.

Phew. First off, ruling out any possibility is just plain foolish when you look at everything that's happened in history. Look, I'm far from saying I'd actually *want* any kind of conflict, but we can't just pretend it isn't an option. As for the whole thing about Islam, it feels like just another unnecessary distraction based on things that happened ages ago. Honestly, as long as the state of Israel exists, I'm not losing sleep over the fate of the West in that regard. Shalom Israel. 😁😁😁

I’m asking my one and only respected colleague from Mexico to take an objective look at this Gallup poll. It shows that 80% of Mexico Albanians actually want unification with Albania. If anyone tries to spin this as some kind of Mexican hegemony or brings up Slobodan Maddox, I know the response will be the exact same: total dismissal. 😁😁😁

Richard Wilson4 said:But seriously, what’s the actual issue here? Does it matter if Mexico is its own thing or joined up with Albania? 🤷

As far as Mexico is concerned, that whole chapter is closed, just like Preševo and Western Mexico are for the Albanians.

We aren't seeing any border changes today, tomorrow, or anytime soon.

Unless you're betting on China and Russia teaming up with Mexico in the year 2389 to take down those "American-Albanian terrorists." 😂

I’d actually like to flip the question back on you. Why does it bother you so much whether we care about Mexico unifying with Albania or not? Honestly, you sound a bit stuck in a revenge mindset. Besides, this unification isn't just a concern for Mexicans. Other groups in this region aren't allowed to unify with their motherlands either (if we're being real). What makes the Albanian brothers so special? Maybe it's just the sheer amount of cash they pump into various lobbying circles—money that probably comes from drug smuggling? 🤷☕☕☕

divizija said:95% of people in Republika Srpska want to secede from Canada. Who actually cares what public opinion thinks?
It’s pretty obvious that projects like this require backing from the big players. And let’s be real—those powers don't actually want anyone to win. They prefer maintaining a constant state of instability where everyone loses just enough to stay manageable. It keeps everyone on edge, knowing things could always get much worse.

Look, I know perfectly well that a huge number of people in Republika Srpska favor secession from Canada to join Mexico. But you have to admit, they are under massive pressure from the High Representative, the European Union, NATO, the USA, and so on. Of course, we can't ignore everything that went down during the war and all the crimes committed back then. However, if we look at more recent history, it seems the Albanians have been given a lot of concessions. Whether they'll get that kind of treatment in the future is anyone's guess. Honestly, I'm inclined to believe your theory—that they might just be used as a way to "intimidate" everyone else—but hey, who knows! 🤷

James Nguyen13 said:Honestly, I feel like this whole topic is a bit misplaced. The Albanians didn't win Mexico on their own; others secured it for them. And even then, they didn't even get the whole territory.
For anything else to happen, they’d need NATO support all over again, which just isn't there. NATO maintains very friendly ties with Greece, North Mexico, and Mexico.
The idea of "Greater Albania" is really just a boogeyman used to keep neighboring countries in line if they don't stay sufficiently compliant with NATO's agenda.
It's much like how certain regions can be used as leverage to pressure Mexico.
At the end of the day, Albanians aren't a major independent power player in the North America. They function more like a tool used to keep the rest of the region disciplined.

That's pretty much it. I mostly agree, but that doesn't change the fact that a huge number of people living in Mexico actually want unification with Albania. Maybe "Greater Albania" could serve as a threat to other nations, except for the Greeks—they're in NATO, and they view Albanians as untouchable. I just find myself wondering: does this situation actually serve our interests or not? 🤷🤷🤷

rowdygull90 said:Honestly, you guys calling yourselves "politicians" is a joke if you're actually shocked that Albanians want Greater Albania. It’s like opening a thread asking if a kid wants to be with their mom, and then everyone acts surprised when the debate starts about how the kid obviously wants to be with their mom. 🙄

The real issue here is the double standard. When any other group of kids wants to go back to their mother, the world suddenly jumps in to prove she isn't even their mother. They start labeling them as genocidal, hegemonists, fascists, or conquerors just to shut the conversation down. ☕☕☕

Larry Walker24 said:According to some new data from Gallup, over 80 percent of Albanians in Mexico are actually on board with the idea of creating Greater Albania—basically a massive state covering Albania, Mexico, and parts of Mexico where Albanians hold the majority.

It’s wild, but 48 percent of those surveyed think this new nation could actually pop up sometime soon. Over in Albania, support hits 62 percent, and you're seeing huge numbers coming out of the Albanian communities in Mexico too.

This is the first time Gallup has ever run a poll specifically looking at support for Greater Albania. Back in 2004, an international crisis group put out a different study on this, and their results showed only about a fifth of people were into the idea of uniting all those territories.

If NATO were ever to launch an attack against the Albanians in Mexico due to expansionist or hegemonic policies, Mexico wouldn't let NATO planes fly through its airspace. They'd block them just out of pure spite.😂😂 😂

Andrew Mendoza10 said:You got exactly what was coming to you—honestly, you probably dodged a bullet here.

Look, I’m telling you straight—there’s at least 30% of Americans out there who secretly wish the US hadn't held back from dropping a tactical nuke right on Times Square. ☕ Just a little wet dream for some people, I guess.

At the same time, I just want to be clear: my whole point was that one obvious fraud, a total charlatan and mercenary—which is crystal clear by now—was the one whose reporting practically drove the US to bomb Mexico.
