Amputation
in Health ·
I’m one of those lucky bastards who had their lower leg completely wiped out. I didn't even break it or anything—no physical trauma involved—but Gangrene just decided to take over. By the time anyone realized what was happening, the rot had spread so far it actually became life-threatening. There wasn't any other choice but to get the limb amputated. The stump hasn't fully healed yet, and I’ve been dealing with phantom pains (look it up on Google if you don't believe me). I’m already getting up there in age, so losing a leg isn't exactly a small setback. Especially after seeing this guy at the Walgreens the other day; he rode up on a motorcycle with both prosthetics. If anyone thinks I'm exaggerating, go check it out: the guy's name is Jack Nerve.
