The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Bokica... Asks:
Hey there!
This is going to be quite a long story, but I’m afraid this might be the only way I can truly get it all out to you... 🤷
Well... To my absolute disappointment, there are no screenings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show here in the States. As Gandhi once said, "Be the change you wish to see," and since I really want to see Rocky Horror around here, I've decided to take matters into my own hands...
I sent an email over to the local AMC theater this past Sunday just to see if they could pull off an idea I had. To my surprise, I actually got a response the very next day with all the details I needed. Long Story Short, my main concern was figuring out exactly what that kind of experience would run me. They quoted a price for renting out a private screen for an hour, including the screening itself... $200I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch that... could you clarify what you mean? $500 Only two and a half hours left. As a teenager without a steady paycheck, trying to set aside that kind of money every single month would have felt impossible to me. So, I decided to do some digging online to see if it was actually worth the investment...
That leads me to wonder: will I be able to make it out to Washington, D.C. once a month... Honestly... I was thinking about organizing a live screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show... It seems like you were just getting started with that thought regarding audience participation... I'm curious to see where you were headed with that. And all that other nonsense... how many of you would actually show up to the screenings?...
I'm feeling a bit stuck here, everyone. If anyone could lend a hand, I would truly appreciate it...
🙂
If I ever get the chance to catch that movie in a theater, I’m definitely taking it. I’ve heard it’s one of the wildest cinematic experiences out there, and I’d love to see for myself if all the hype is real...
That is definitely going on my bucket list. Good luck with the idea...
