Taylor Howard36 said:Look, I don't have a prescription either, but I do wear those blue light filtering glasses—they have some kind of protective coating. To be perfectly blunt? They don't do squat for me. My eyes still feel like they're burning at the end of the shift.

Just go grab some eye drops—you know, the artificial tears.

And seriously, when you're staring at the screen, try to actually blink. Like, a lot. It sounds silly, but it matters.😬

Plus—and my doctor actually hammered this point home—you really need to take a breather every 45 minutes or so. Just five minutes where you cup your palms over your eyes, shut out the world, and think about absolutely nothing.😬

Oh, and watch your hydration too... drink plenty of water. It helps.😬

But even after doing all that—the drops, the breaks, the water—I'm still seeing zero results. Nothing.

....Anyway, just look after your eyes and maybe go ahead and buy the glasses anyway.😬

...I read somewhere that you're supposed to take a break every half hour to stare into the distance and practice focusing your vision... but at my job, they set things up so I only get breaks roughly every hour and a half or two hours😠 so besides my eyes looking like bloodshot cherries,😵 I'm also going through nicotine withdrawal...🙂
Honestly, I don't see why the monitor would be an issue since the company dumped a massive amount of cash into that setup... anyway, I swung by LensCrafters yesterday to get the real scoop... non-prescription lenses with that specific coating are going for $150 plus the frames, which is basically highway robbery because you can find them in the States for as little as $50, so I guess I'll just wander around a few more shops and see if I can actually find a price that doesn't feel like a scam. Thanks for the heads-up, 🙏
I’m thinking about picking up some computer glasses because I’m stuck staring at a monitor all day for work, and honestly, my eyes are starting to kill me, not to mention the constant headaches that follow. I don't actually need a prescription or anything, so I was hoping someone who actually knows their stuff could weigh in here—specifically, does anyone have a clue what these things usually run you?
