You're just cranking up your own stress levels. Honestly, you're better off just taking a walk for thirty minutes to an hour somewhere quiet. Find some nature or a sleepy suburban street. No headphones, no music, and definitely no people.
Keep your heart rate under 140 and stay away from the noise.
Swimming works too.
If you want to give your brain a break from worrying for a bit, try doing crosswords or Sudoku.
And cortisol, too.
Attempting to manage stress through excessive exercise or sheer physical exhaustion is, I suspect, perhaps one of the most counterproductive things a person could possibly do, as it carries the risk of essentially burning out your adrenal glands.
