Chrome actually uses PepperFlash Player—which is maintained by Google, not Adobe Flash Player—so that might be where the discrepancy lies...
It could also just be a matter of RAM usage and hard drive paging. You should probably check how much memory Firefox is eating up compared to your total available RAM.

If anyone here actually knows anything about drawing tablets, I could use a little help—I’m pretty much flying blind here. I have a Genius EasyPen M610X, but the stylus decided to quit on me. Now I’m looking to pick up a replacement, but finding the exact right one is proving to be a bit of a headache. Does anyone happen to know where I can actually track one down?
The way it works is that if the pen gets close to the tablet, it detects pressure—you know, how hard you're pressing the tip down. Except for mine, it acts like it’s constantly being pressed the second I get near the surface... it feels like the internal spring or whatever went wonky, so it just starts sketching immediately. I don't even have to touch the pad itself.
I mention that just in case there's some newer tech out there—obviously, those standard styluses for touchscreen tablets aren't compatible with my drawing tablet. So now the real struggle is finding something that actually works with my specific setup.
