Listen, are you people actually certain your computers are even searching for aliens? For all we know, they might just be feeding data to some shadowy government agency designed to crack encryption codes 😁 You can never tell. Personally, I’d much rather my processing power go toward medical research and drug development. It doesn't matter if some massive pharmaceutical corporation turns a profit off the discovery; what matters is that it could save a life down the road, and who knows, maybe one day it will be yours or your own children's lives at stake.
