1. at the end of the day, the performance simply has to be something unique and SPECIAL 🙂

Can I pick your brains for a second? I’m trying to figure out the math on how many lambs and pigs we actually need for a wedding reception with 350 guests in a banquet hall, followed by a lunch the next day for about 120 people. Everyone keeps telling me that 8 lambs and maybe 4 or 5 pigs should be plenty... apparently, there's this unofficial rule of thumb floating around that says you need one lamb for every 50 people and one pig for every 100.

What’s your take on this? How much meat are you all planning to order? I really need to get these orders placed soon, so I’d love to hear any experiences or opinions you might have...

Michelle Harris27 said:Trust me, waiting for Photo Zoom is totally worth it! Once those shots come in, you are going to be so incredibly happy with them...

I'm still waiting on mine and it's been two whole months, so your wait isn't even that bad in the grand scheme of things...

Honestly, my experience with Kelbas Photo Studio was just a complete letdown...

If I were ever to have a wedding all over again in the Midwest, I'd definitely go back to Zoom and hire Andrew Car to handle the photography... they really know their stuff...

So, basically, we shouldn't switch photographers after all...

We already booked Zoom for next year and paid the deposit

but now we're second-guessing everything and wondering if we should stick with Kelbas instead. But actually, maybe staying with Zoom is the right call, because I've heard everyone raving about Kelbas lately—as if he's some kind of legend who produces stunning images and just performs his job flawlessly.
Anyone still running Windows 7? in Software ·
Lately, I’ve been having this annoying issue where my Windows 7 just hangs right when I boot it up... everything just freezes, all the desktop icons get stuck, and the whole screen stays frozen for what feels like forever. I end up sitting there waiting for maybe 5 to 10 minutes just for things to finally stabilize and become usable again.

Anyway, I picked up a used PC from some guy on Craigslist about three weeks ago.

This is the machine I’m talking about...

And yeah... I recently installed Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and I noticed the game is stuttering in certain parts, which really shouldn't be happening given the specs.

Since I got this computer, I’ve downloaded something like 20 movies, a few series, and maybe 4 or 5 heavy games... could that be what's causing the slowdown?

Now I’ve got to get the music sorted out, so any advice at all would be huge... 🙂 Thanks

We went ahead and signed a contract and put down a $50 deposit.... It’s an incredible band and I’d recommend them in a heartbeat because those guys know how to set the perfect mood, plus they barely take breaks while they're playing—unspecified band from Indianapolis

Quick question regarding marriage prep courses—is this actually mandatory? Like, do you really have to show up and sit through the whole thing, or can you skip it?

In my book, Quatro is hands down the best band out there...

..they don't pull any of those long, dramatic hiatuses, they play absolutely everything, and they’re just incredibly down-to-earth—both the lead singer and the rest of the guys actually hang out and live alongside the wedding crowds...

It's just top-tier stuff... anyone who was actually there to catch one of their sets knows exactly what I'm talking about.

Has anyone here ever actually bought wedding bands made from surgical steel?

The pitch is always that they’re rust-proof and hold up forever, plus they usually run about $500$200, which would be a massive win for my wallet if it's true.

A close friend of mine wears this necklace made from the stuff because she’s super allergic to gold and silver; she’s had it for a decade now and it looks just as good as the day she got it—not a single scratch or sign of wear, even though she never takes it off.

So, what’s the verdict? Is this legit or am I just falling for the marketing?

You’re honestly better off just heading up to Portland...🙂
So, I’ve been wrestling with this massive issue lately, and it’s this constant, underlying subconscious stress.

Even though I make a conscious effort to stay calm and not let the little things get under my skin, I find myself spiraling subconsciously without even realizing it’s happening.

It’s starting to take a real toll on my physical health—my metabolism is off, my digestion is a mess, and it’s triggering this whole domino effect of other bodily issues...

How do you actually rewire your brain to let go of stress? Specifically, that low-level, nagging tension—because honestly, I never feel truly relaxed; I just exist in a state of perpetual tightness.

I have this deep-seated need to please everyone, to be the perfect example of what a person should be, and to earn respect from every single person I encounter.

I’m not the type to yell at people; in fact, I’m someone who wants to learn everything and master every skill. But when I hit a wall—and look, we all know it’s impossible to be an expert at everything, which is why we hire specialists for different jobs—I can’t help myself. I push way too hard to figure it out, and then I just end up drowning in frustration...

What am I supposed to do?
How are the rest of you dealing with this kind of mental loop?
It’s gotten to the point where it’s genuinely affecting my health and my gut, and I’m at a loss for how to fix it.

Yeah, I actually pulled the trigger and booked them this past Saturday. They’re charging 4 $0.00 plus some travel expenses, which isn't exactly breaking the bank depending on how many miles we have to clock, and then there's the extra stuff like the thank-you gifts $1.75 pieces...

Honestly, for the package they’re offering at 4 $0.00, you get a ton of value, and I’m feeling pretty good about the decision.

I actually checked out their work a couple of years back when my cousin was doing her wedding for 3 $267, and I was seriously impressed—they were happy too. The album is stunning, the photos are spot on, and the DVDs are just as good.

The thing is, we’re going to have to schedule our shoot earlier—probably about four months before the big day since we're coming from different parts of the country—but the photographer over at Zoom said that wouldn't be an issue at all...

They seem incredibly flexible, and they really know how to handle their business.

If anyone asks me for a recommendation, I’m definitely pointing them toward these guys—the price point and the quality are both right where they need to be.

The basic tier 3 package$267 is actually plenty—I’ve flipped through a few albums and DVDs shot with that entry-level setup, and I have to say, the quality is genuinely impressive. For what they're charging, it’s honestly a steal; the work looks incredibly polished and professional... they really know how to get the job done right.

Alex Ross32 said:Could you DM me Drake's number or some way to contact him? Everything at the big jewelry stores is just way too expensive...

Can I get Drake's contact info too? It looks like his prices are actually reasonable compared to everyone else out there.

The zoom on this camera is absolutely killer... seriously top-notch quality.

Where can I actually find wedding bands in Indianapolis where someone isn't trying to gouge me for 50% more than they're worth? No one bothered to mention it earlier in the thread, so I'm stuck wondering...$1167 For those rings, if you go to a standard jewelry store, you’re looking at $8,500 for the exact same thing—it's just not worth the markup...

I’m asking anyone who actually knows how this works to please weigh in and explain what's going on here...

Chris Kim said:If you don't mind me asking, could you maybe elaborate a bit on what those bad experiences were? 🙂

Well, initially, people were complaining about the service itself—they were incredibly sluggish and just painfully slow. Then there was the food, which, to put it mildly, was an absolute disaster. The staff is a total catastrophe too; they move at a snail's pace and half the things they promise you never actually happen. As for the atmosphere, "terrible" doesn't even begin to cover it—honestly, go ask someone who was actually involved in the planning meetings with them and you'll see what I mean. Sure, they might be cheaper, but the vibe, the staff, and the manager are all complete disasters.

Chris Kim said:I was wondering if anyone could share some more detailed experiences regarding the Hilton in Des Moines? 🙂

I wouldn't go there if I were you... honestly, the experiences people have had are just abysmal. You’re much better off just sticking with the Perić facility over in Des Moines.

dustytinker58 said:Help! I have my wedding coming up this September and I still haven't booked a photographer, found a florist, or even picked out a dress... I’m starting to get a little hit by the nerves. Is it getting too late? Should I be panicking and rushing through all of this right now? What do you guys think, and when did you all actually start your planning process?
I'm looking at booking Elijah ???? for photography and Stella's floral shop over in Savannah. If anyone has worked with them before, please let me know how it went! 😉

Stella from Savannah is fantastic—she really knows her stuff and does an incredible job

I am curious though, does anyone know what Elijah ???? usually charges?

Thanks for the help

I’m also curious about what the final damage looks like once you factor in those thank-you notes and all the family photos, just like someone else mentioned earlier?

Patrick Morris6 said:We’re probably gonna grab one of the bigger packages for $1833. $67 would just be their travel costs up to Indianapolis. You can see the two different packages and what they cover on the studio-kelbas.hr site. I guess everything is negotiable 🙂. They have a Facebook page too. Since they're pretty young, I figure they'll probably go the extra mile...😁

But what’s the word on the deposit? For instance, one photo studio we looked at told us a deposit would be around $200—$133—but then, looking at Kelbas’s own transaction terms, it says they require 20% of the total price, which would end up being quite a bit for $1833...$367...so, yeah...

I’m curious, how much did you guys end up putting down for deposits?
