colors and tones are the fundamentals; paintings and music are simply what happens when you apply them.
As for painting itself, I find it hard to side with anyone who only gets excited about still lifes and landscapes.
Look, I’m not saying this topic is funny. It isn't funny to me when someone identifies as a punk, a metalhead, or some preppy socialite, and it isn't funny when people act like their partner's music taste is a dealbreaker. Is it really? I think listening to certain genres is just one way young people try to find themselves today. From what I can see, those labels usually fade around age 20, once a person starts maturing and realizes there are other interests out there that might actually connect them to someone else.👍
