Honestly, you guys can talk all the trash you want about how creative she is or whatever, but let’s be real—nothing is actually getting filmed, it's all just a pipe dream while she's still dreaming away. 😍 Like, if someone hops on an online forum looking for actors to star in a movie for zero dollars, they aren't gonna get a feature film, they'll probably just end up with some random five-minute clip of nothing. 🙏
I actually managed to find some actors online and we've been working together super successfully for a whole year now 👍

AVA has had contests on her website forever, though I honestly can't recall ever seeing anything actually get filmed through one of them. Maybe it was February, Majetić, or Ivanda who wrote something... who knows? 👎
The real issue is that here in the States, there just isn't enough production happening to make selling a script that easy. I even know some people who write absolute masterpieces, and there’s this one guy with a few killer scripts, but he still can't move them because he just doesn't have the right connections.

If he just used a handheld camera, he’d cut costs to basically nothing and show some humility, which people actually respect. Honestly, everyone needs to wake up. In the US, the peak of indie filmmaking is basically just amateur hour. People here just don't know how to shoot movies. Anyone with actual ambition left this country a long time ago to work abroad. It's honestly pointless to ask "why do so few Americans watch indie films?" Hardly anyone even shows up to see the big Hollywood blockbusters in theaters, let alone some homemade project.
And who are you to decide the movie is gonna be trash before it's even out?
I feel like we're getting a little too much pro filmmaking mixed up with the amateur stuff here.
The real issue with indie filmmaking is that creators just don't put in the work to get their stuff out there, even though it's actually pretty easy to do these days. You end up with so many amazing amateur flicks that nobody ever hears about, even though they honestly blow a lot of mainstream movies out of the water...

Everyone's got their own take, which is just how it goes whenever art comes up, so why ruin the few good points we actually made in this thread?
Totally with you! Honestly, let's just pick this back up in January 2007 once I finally wrap up my big Hollywood blockbuster, then you guys can all tear it apart properly once it actually hits the screens!!! 👋:
Found some more enthusiasts just like me 🤣

Honestly, we could probably go back and forth on this for days... I'm just dying to know if any of you guys actually caught any footage of it??
bluecobra9 said:Alright, I'm officially throwing in the towel and apologizing, so let's just call it a day on this whole debate. 😘
good luck to you, man!
well, thanks🙂
I honestly don't get why everyone is making such a huge deal out of this flick because, if you ask me, it was just a fun way to pass the time.
By the way, have you ever actually filmed anything yourself?
Honestly, I’m not even making this movie because I’m chasing fame, looking for a big payday, or hoping someone finally notices my "talent" or whatever else... I just do it because I genuinely love the process, plain and simple! Besides, the US economy is way too strapped right now to be footing the bill for my wild visions anyway🤣
I honestly feel like amateur filmmaking doesn't always have to be total garbage that just sits there gathering dust on a shelf.
It doesn't even require a massive budget, really; you just need a solid crew and a whole lot of heart, grit, and sheer willpower!
In the States, I bet we actually produce more indie projects than they do in Hollywood🤣
It’s a good thing, though, because eventually, the absolute best ones are going to rise to the top.
I'm actually working on a project right now where the script holds its own against the pros, and production-wise, I'd say it’s pretty much top-tier for an indie setup here in the US. We’ve even started getting the word out through a few different websites, and we're planning to launch our own site and even drop some flyers around town...
We are pouring so much energy into the story because the last thing we want is for our movie to be lumped in with all those other failed attempts at making a film. That’s why we’re being so picky with casting—we really want to find people with genuine talent who can actually breathe life into these characters.
The biggest hurdle with indie stuff is that everything tends to be rushed, when in reality, all that meticulous prep work is the most vital part of the whole creative process.🙂
Has anyone stumbled upon an especially good indie flick lately?
