Using AHA fruit acids during the summer? in Health ·
What exactly are these "exfoliating" products you're talking about? Give me some names—ideally stuff you’ve actually used and found effective. This microdermabrasion thing sounds way too intense for me; I'm not really looking to go that extreme, especially since my spots aren't even that bad. It's just 5 or 6 little marks right under my beard area.
Did you try AHA products and have a bad experience, or what? And honestly, did anything actually work for you?

My skin is super sensitive and I deal with occasional seborrheic dermatitis. On top of that, I get these hormonal breakouts around my chin during my cycle that last about 5 or 6 days, but once they dry up, they leave behind these ugly red marks. I just finished a two-month course of oral Geomycin, which helped reduce the breakouts, but the scarring is still there. My dermatologist just prescribed Neutrogena Hyfac plus emulsion with fruit AHAs for nighttime, and an Estée Lauder face and body emulsion with SPF 25 for daytime to use until June 18th. Since my skin is sensitive and I spend a ton of time outdoors, I’m nervous about starting the AHA cream—I've heard you shouldn't really use them during the summer months. Plus, I doubt I'll see any real results in just a month, and I have a beach trip coming up soon, so I probably won't stick with the AHA while I'm away. What’s your take on using AHAs this time of year?
Will I actually be able to tan with SPF 25, or should I just switch to the Neutrogena Hyfac matte emulsion for the daytime?
Has anyone tried Aveeno Cycalfate for fading acne scars? It didn't do much for me...
Any other cream recommendations for that?
Thanks in advance!!!
