Trouble waking up in the morning in Health ·

You’re very welcome, though I suppose I’m just hoping it turns out to be nothing at all—and if it isn't, well, maybe it won't be such a big deal either. 😘

ironseal13 said:Man, I was losing it. And I don't just mean mentally. 😬 I was waking up at 2 or 3 in the morning almost every single night because of the nausea. Just imagine dealing with that for two years—I switched from one brand of birth control to another, and within six months, the nausea was back. Honestly, I haven't even had the energy to try alternative stuff like macrobiotics or homeopathy. I'm pretty much done with being poisoned by big pharma.

Perhaps it might be for the best if you stopped taking them altogether. I started on Celest, which left me feeling like I was in a coma, but I've been on Diane for two years now and they seem fine—though I certainly wouldn't take them if I didn't have to. I make it a point to take mine at noon every day; I noticed that if I take them in the evening, I end up feeling nauseous the next morning, whereas taking them mid-day makes them feel almost unnoticeable.
Maybe you should see a doctor and ask for some systemic testing, though it could potentially be an issue with your kidneys. I felt like a completely different person once I started taking my kidney medication; before that, I felt utterly depleted and lethargic, as if I simply couldn't bring myself to care about anything.

Though, if they actually had, my spine might be a little straighter than it is now... Every time I move after waking up, my joints make that clicking sound—you know the one. I feel trashed, even if I didn't hit the gym the day before. There’s also this constant "heaviness" in my head, mostly concentrated at the base of my skull. That’s the part that really worries me; I don't want to spend my mid-twenties feeling perpetually exhausted and basically walking around like a zombie.

I'm not sure if there's a connection, but I also have PCOS. I stopped treating it with birth control pills because the nausea was unbearable, and now I'm dealing with GI issues too (got an appointment coming up soon, likely looking at a gastroscopy).

Honestly, it's getting depressing. Not long ago, I was a healthy young woman—active, athletic, no acne, no excess hair, and without these massive emotional highs and lows.

If anyone has any advice, please share.

The moment I read this, I thought of thyroid issues; I experienced something very similar when I was dealing with my own thyroid problems. Perhaps stopping the birth control wasn't the best move. In any case, you should probably see a doctor and get your hormone levels checked out.
