Hey everyone. My cuticles are driving me absolutely insane lately. They keep splitting open, and if I don't have a nail clipper on me to fix it, the pain is just brutal. I try to take care of my hands, but honestly, it feels like a losing battle. Could this be a vitamin deficiency or something? What do you guys recommend?

It’s a total breeze, honestly. You won't even feel it... plus, it basically feels like a free foot massage. Pure bliss.
I do it to myself all the time. Yeah, I get calluses too—most women do, actually. My skin gets pretty thick, nothing weird about it. You just clear away the excess and suddenly you feel ten pounds lighter. 😁
If it trips you out that things were fine for a few days and then came back, look, it's not a one-and-done thing. It'll happen again.
You’re clearly prone to it. Maybe your gait is just off or something? Personally, I get a callus on my left foot but not my right because I put too much weight on my left side when I walk. Also, if your feet are getting dry, just keep slathering them with heavy creams or foot balms.
Seriously, I don't see the big issue here. It feels like you're making a huge drama out of something totally simple and natural... or maybe I'm just missing something obvious.
I didn't used to have issues with this. Not at all. Then it started popping up every now and then, and now it’s constant. My heels aren't an issue—I just file them down and move on. But my toes? That’s what worries me. The skin on my left big toe is super thick—call it enlarged, if you want—while the right one isn't nearly as bad. When I'm moving around for a while, like after dancing at a club, it hurts like hell. I can't wait to get home, kick off my socks, and just lie down to let it settle. On top of that, if anyone even touches that thickened area, it can be pretty painful. Part of me is scared to even scrape it, or am I just overreacting?
And yeah, I use creams and stay on top of the maintenance...
Finally went in for a routine blood draw today after years of avoiding it. Wasn't nervous, wasn't sweating it. Just a standard checkup. They drew the blood, and I stepped outside to sit for a few minutes. Everything seemed fine at first, but then—boom—within a minute or two, things went south fast. I started losing consciousness, just tipping over sideways or forward. Other patients noticed and flagged the nurses, who came sprinting out to try and revive me. They gave me some sugar water; I sat there sipping it, trying to focus on breathing in through my nose and out. I was in a critical state for maybe five or six minutes before I pulled through, but man, the cramps in my arms and legs were absolutely brutal.
I get that I nearly passed out because my blood pressure or sugar tanked, but what's with the freaking cramps? My lab results come back tomorrow, but I’m guessing I’m low on magnesium? I grabbed some at the CVS just in case—better safe than sorry...
Hey everyone!
Look, my toes have been killing me for a while now and I need some advice. The skin on my big toes—both left and right—is getting super thick, and it hurts like hell when I'm walking for too long. Plus, on the middle toe of my left foot, I’ve got this thing that my podiatrist described as dead skin with fluid trapped underneath.
The big toes have been an issue for years. Sometimes it's flared up, sometimes it settles down enough that I forget about it. About a year or two ago, I tried those corn removal patches you get at CVS, and they helped for a bit because the calluses would soften, but the problem always comes crawling back. The left one has always been worse than the right, but lately, the right one is starting to catch up.
As for the middle toe, I've been dealing with that for maybe two or three months. I went to see a specialist who cleared out both calluses and that weird fluid buildup under the skin on the middle toe. It felt fine for a few days, but then everything just came right back.
It's getting frustrating because I'm running out of ideas. Someone suggested I go back for another treatment and then start applying quinine to it, but honestly, I'm skeptical.
About a year ago, I had custom orthotics made by Peharec—I've had to wear them since I was a kid because of flat feet—and I'm really hoping the issue isn't coming from those? He's a pro, so I'd hate to think they're the culprit. I even switched up my footwear; I'm wearing low-cut liners instead of regular socks now, but nothing is actually helping.
What would you guys do if you were me? Should I just book an appointment with a dermatologist and deal with it?
Thanks!
