Shame (2011) in Movies ·
Kevin Hayes83 said:3 PM was just boring. Honestly, one of the worse movies I've sat through, but then again, this kind of garbage isn't really my thing anyway. It was such a chore watching the whole thing—just a bunch of nothing, waiting for them to finally get to the point and actually have sex.

Well, he didn't exactly pull it off...

The movie is awesome, though. These types of characters are getting so much more popular lately—the guy is a total badass. 👍

Actually, nothing could possibly sink lower than this! 🤣

Hahahaha... what a disaster, but totally deserved 😁

Seriously, what is she even doing with her life? Is the documentary just going to show footage of her hooking up with someone just to get on MTV, or her sending her terrible songs to producers until they finally told her to beat it? It’ll end up just like those two above...
They only release these documentaries to grab money wherever they can, and they're honestly trash unless there's some juicy scandal to vent about regarding her...

Jessica Gonzalez said:Aside from "2012," this was probably one of the worst movies I've sat through in the last five or six years. It’s honestly so bad that if someone tries to tell me they liked it, I might just delete their number and stop texting them altogether. I guess Foxx really showed in this one that he isn't much of an actor, regardless of his Oscar or anything else he's done. To me, he didn't seem like a pro; maybe he was just a lucky guy who happened to land a role that thousands of other talented Black actors could have played better.

0/10

Man, you are harsh... though I can't say I disagree. The movie was brain-dead. The only difference is I'm going to take a swing at Gerry.
Gerard Butler is basically the male version of Kim Kardashian or Paris Hilton.
A total Nobody and an attention whore who would be much better off going back to practicing law because acting clearly isn't his calling.
I watched this right when it came out and it was such a struggle to get through... just endless, painful clichés and tired tropes.

haha, how can you guys hate it this much?
Giving it a 0/10 is way too generous for such nonsense...
Can someone please recommend something actually good—maybe an 8/10—that I can watch over and over again? 😁
And saying he's the male version of Kim or Paris? Please, he's definitely not that type...

Donna Williams4 said:I’m not sure how fair that actually is, but let's move past that. What do you think happens to Clyde at the very end?

Maybe after he finishes his business, he joins his wife and daughter in one big, beautiful, romantic final explosion... complete with an epic parting speech...

Personally, I’d want him to wipe them all out—that’s how it should have ended if we're talking justice. Imagine the absolute chaos in the city, the sheer terror, the news media churning out total garbage, and citizens just completely losing their minds while our government institutions look totally useless and incompetent. We just need to come up with something better than that whole prison break setup... maybe he could have had an old contact helping him out along the way. 🙂

The movie is great... the plot and the revenge arc are spot on... but
one thing really let me down. I was honestly disappointed they couldn't come up with anything better than him just walking out of a tunnel and heading straight back into prison... it felt way too cliché.
It completely killed the momentum for me right at that point. After such a powerful opening, I was expecting something much more intense...

I honestly didn't even realize this thread I started was still active; I totally thought it had been deleted. 🙂
It looks like it's turned into a bit of a grievance forum now...

So, I was wondering if we could turn this into a collective thread where everyone can drop their suggestions for improving the site, if that's cool with you guys.

And if it’s doable, I really hope the admins find it worth their while to actually take these ideas and run with them. 🤷

Also, just one quick question—and please ignore me if I totally missed it since I'm still the new guy here! 😛

Is there a way to get a notification whenever someone Quotea us? It would make it so much easier to follow the conversation and jump back in so nobody misses out on getting an answer.

Thanks! 😉
