I’ve been scrolling through these threads and it seems like everyone is hunting down these world-renowned specialists, but honestly, my current gynecologist is perfectly fine if I just need a quick prescription for pills or cream. The problem is, since I live in the middle of nowhere, I’m stuck waiting over a month just to get an appointment, so I definitely need to find someone private who can actually help. I’ve been dealing with this constant itching down there. I went in for an exam, and my gynecologist prescribed some Locacorten ointment. But then I started reading the contraindications, and it says you shouldn't use it if there's a fungal infection involved. Now I'm stuck wondering—how is he supposed to know exactly what's going on just from a standard physical exam without using a microscope or any testing? Has anyone else here actually used this cream? Since it's a corticosteroid, I'm honestly feeling pretty conflicted about whether I should even touch it.
