Alright, alright... call it a review, a critique, whatever you want. I'm really just looking for a vibe check and a recommendation. I want to see if I can look at someone else's take on a movie and use that to decide if it’s actually worth my time to sit through it.
Just wanted to throw one more thing out there... there's zero pay involved here—it's strictly an attempt to build a space where "regular folks" can just drop their own takes on movies and give them ratings.
So, if by any chance there are any total cinephiles out there who might be interested in writing reviews for this brand-new amateur movie site I just launched—hit me up via email at:
charlie.blue.eyes63@gmail.comand we can chat about all the details.
Look, I’m a bit of a collector myself—got about 600 DVDs sitting on my shelves... but honestly? VHS is just going to stay a nice little memory for me. I mean, most of us basically grew up with those bulky tapes, right? But as long as I’m dealing with grainy footage, constant rewinding, and having to clean the heads on a VCR just to watch something, I have to say—DVDs are just superior. You get that crystal-clear picture, subtitles that actually make sense (assuming they weren't written by idiots), and they're way easier to store. It makes it so much easier to toss the old tapes into the basement, some dusty closet, or just straight into the trash. At the end of the day, the film industry doesn't really have room for sentimentality.
It’s a solid movie, I'm totally with you there... my only real gripe is how much I actually dig Cusack. 🙂 enjoy
