I honestly don't even know where to start. I’ve been jolted awake four times now, and here I am, sitting in front of my computer, just staring at the screen and wondering what on earth to do about this... It’s hard to describe. These tremors pass through me, a weird mix of reality and dreams, and it usually happens right when I realize there’s an "intruder" in my dream. That’s probably the best way to put it. Four times in a single hour... it's enough to mess with anyone's head. During the third time (I think), I actually got some advice on why this might be happening. In the dream, this pleasant girl told me it might stem from some unresolved issues in my life 🙂. This isn't my first rodeo; I thought I had learned how to live with it. I convinced myself sleep paralysis was just a normal thing, maybe even a little bit interesting at times. But this time feels different. I fall asleep, the dreaming starts, and then this figure appears—someone who just doesn't belong, someone doing something wrong or looking completely out of place. I can never see their face. As soon as I notice them, the struggle begins. I wouldn't even call it sleep paralysis anymore; it feels more like a desperate attempt to wake up or break free. The last time, I just lost it and started shouting at the figure, and the craziest part was that it shouted back twice as loud. Not even words, really—just this echo, like you're trying to yell at an animal. It was intense... The only solution I can see right now is to turn on the TV and try to drift off that way, since I have work in the morning and I have to get moving. Anyway, I’ve wasted an hour just typing this out and scrolling through things online 😁. Now that I've had a good cry 😉, I wanted to ask the reason I actually came here. Does anyone else who deals with sleep paralysis also have trouble waking up in the morning? I’m struggling with it, and I wonder if they're connected.

Look. What can I even tell you.
It’s basically an act of will.

In the end, everything boils down to "practice."
Order, hard work, and discipline.

Everything else is just an illusion... let's call it that.

Nothing happens without effort... in this case, "working on yourself."
Working on order.
Putting things where they belong.

The problem is you have to force your thoughts toward the positive.

How do you think you get overwhelmed by negative thoughts?
That was also a process... a long, drawn-out process... that a person just gives in to.
Because it's easy.
Going downhill? Oh, there's nothing easier.
Just tumbling like a ball... 🤣 and rolling straight down.
Great!!! 🤣

That's just a pile of trash that builds up inside a person.

First, you have to purge it all out, then start building from the ground up.
Because how are you going to build on top of trash?
No chance.

I'm sorry I have to be blunt with you... but you have to fight.
That's the whole philosophy.
The struggle.
And it's hard... and that answer doesn't sit well with everyone.
It's easier to just pop some Zoloft, Xanax, or Prozac... 😍

But what does that get you? Eventually, you aren't even aware of your own personality... so what did you actually achieve?

What do you really have if you don't have yourself?

Today you look up at the sky and think it looks gloomy.
You tell yourself: "Gloomy sky. It's going to rain. Wonderful. Perfect! It's all part of nature. Man, I love life."

Besides, you mentioned you don't want to wake up at 50 and realize you wasted your entire self.

Isn't that enough motivation for you?

You won't be here forever.
This life might be the only one you get.
Learn to appreciate it.
It's short. You wouldn't believe how short.

Maybe you should start... not tomorrow... but... hm... right now? Right this second?

I honestly think that's where we go wrong. Not everything being perfect is the goal—that's kind of the whole point of life, isn't it? You have everything. I find myself wondering when someone is finally going to build a massive VR simulation where we can just live our lives. That seems straightforward enough. I mean, if we weren't constantly feeling down or moody, would we ever actually feel happy? We really are just big kids at heart, aren't we?

Alright, I’ve actually put in a bit more effort this time and sat down to read through everything (well, almost everything). I have to say, there are some genuinely good people here... though, honestly, I think everyone is fundamentally good, even if they don't quite realize it themselves. Now, I don't want to just spout nonsense without purpose, so why don't you tell me—what's on your mind? I see I've got 23 posts under my belt, which I'm starting to realize carries some weight around here in terms of reputation. So, technically, I'm still a newcomer to the Google community, but I truly believe I can be of some help during times like these.

Let me know

Just reading along, but I don't have much to add

I can say a little something based on my own experience, though. I’ve definitely been in that headspace before—and honestly, maybe I still am. Eeee, if only it were that easy to just tell you. But, well, that's just how things go, I suppose.
