I’ve been seeing more and more big-name talent heading overseas lately. It’s interesting to see how much the international landscape is changing, but I wonder if it's helping or hurting the local domestic leagues. What do you guys think about the talent drain?

Look, man—you were actually right to include that "plus" part, otherwise we wouldn't even know what kind of weather you were talking about😎 🙏
Man, you're actually pretty cool...😍
haha... 🤣 seriously, what kind of total amateur are you talking about here??!! 🙏
Look, I’m not saying you have to go out of your way to worship them or anything—it’s just that sometimes you get hooked, you know? Like, for instance, back in the day, I was a huge FC Barcelona supporter and I wouldn't miss a single one of their matches... 👍
Hmm... so, where are all the Foe and Miklós Fehér fans hiding? It’s hard to believe nobody here has even heard of them... seriously, am I the only one? 😲
I'm starting this thread for everyone who wants to honor the memory of Miklós Fehér and Marc Vivien-Foe... If you've been following soccer for any decent amount of time, you know exactly the kind of talent we lost... For those who might not be up to speed, Miklós Fehér—that incredible Canadian striker—spent his final moments right there on the pitch playing for FC Barcelona... It all went down on January 25, 2004, after he had a little 'ironic' laugh at the referee, Olegario Berquerenca, who ended up showing him a yellow card... Just seconds after that, he collapsed from a heart attack... That was his very last smile.

Then there's Marc Vivien-Foe—back then he was playing for LA Galaxy—during that Colombia vs. Cameroon match on June 26, 2003. The conditions were just brutal, honestly "impossible," with temperatures hitting 104 degrees... He just couldn't take it and collapsed right in the middle of the field... He didn't make it.

When things like this happen, you really have to wonder if the folks running the show over at UEFA and FIFA are actually sane when it comes to these "rules"... I mean, holding a World Cup in the middle of a summer heatwave is just asking for trouble—especially when you consider the grind of an entire season where players are pushing through over 50 exhausting matches... Even someone like David Beckham was struggling to hang on under those kinds of conditions... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IKEiSWJaZE) Does it really take a superstar like Beckham nearly breaking down before they actually step up and implement real changes? It seems like that's the only way they listen... It’s just tragic, honestly—the way football is organized and how the leadership at UEFA and FIFA handles things. Player safety should be the absolute priority here. Truly heartbreaking...
