Dust mite allergy help needed in Health ·
Matthew Watson15 said:I’m dealing with these bites, but I have no idea what’s causing them. Not a single dermatologist or doctor seems to have a clue. They just keep prescribing various creams and random ointments instead of actually identifying the source and providing a solution...

The bites happen in bed, and they cover my entire body, even when I'm fully covered. It starts as a tiny red dot, and then later in the day, the reaction kicks in... an itch so intense it turns into actual pain...
The bite itself looks like a mosquito bite, but it lasts at least a week and the itching is ten times worse than anything a mosquito could do...

It can't be fleas because you'd actually see them, and I've decontaminated my entire room, so there's no way... if only I could be sure!!!

Bedbugs are out of the question too. I know enough about them to know it isn't them... not because people claim they aren't there, but because the symptoms from their bites don't match, and since they're about 5 mm, they wouldn't be invisible...

I've been stuck with this problem for a year now and still haven't found a way out. Mostly, I bought some Biokill and pulled up the carpet, sprayed the whole room—floors, pillows, bed, every single crack, comforter, blanket, mattress—from every possible angle. Even the window frames and my clothes; everything was as contaminated as it gets. I went through an entire bottle of Biokill and washed everything repeatedly... and what happened? One day everything seemed fine, and the next, it all started right back at square one...

I believe this is a truly GREAT problem and I am asking for some intelligent advice. Has anyone actually managed to resolve this...

As of now, I've started applying what one colleague here suggested as an insect repellent, because that's the only way I can get any sleep...

Please, if anyone has any ideas on how to help, let me know, because I am honestly DESPERATE!!!!

Yeah, so I had them—and maybe I still do—dealing with bed bugs at home. I don't know how much you know about them, but you should really take a close look at your bed and the mattress, underneath and on the sides. If you see tiny black specks or small white eggs, that's the first sign you've got bed bugs. Their bites itch like crazy, and depending on your skin, the reaction can be pretty intense. Professional pest control usually only kills the live ones, so you really have to repeat the spraying a few times since the eggs take about two weeks to hatch. Honestly, it's a total nightmare once you have them; after two months of this, I've been sleeping with a heavy flashlight in my hand just to feel safe.
