Dust mite allergy help needed in Health ·
Peter Williams2 said:I’m 24 years old, and I’ve been battling allergies for about three years now. It’s an endless cycle of itching, irritation, and skin peeling that honestly feels unbearable at times. Back when I was living in the States, the diagnosis was mites... and they treated me for it. But everything just came crawling back after a while. Eventually, I moved over to Germany, where allergy tests came back positive for dust mites, grass, and dust. Since then, the symptoms have only been getting worse. I was prescribed tablets and creams, which worked beautifully for a bit—everything cleared up—but within two weeks, the whole mess returned. It’s just a constant loop. I haven't seen a doctor in quite a while. Sometimes things settle down slightly, leaving some redness and scabbing, but the itch never truly leaves. There are days when it all hits the fan at once; the scabs swell up, turn a purplish hue, and the itching becomes absolutely agonizing. Has anyone else dealt with something similar and actually found a permanent fix? I can't live like this anymore. The doctors just can't seem to provide a lasting cure. I’ve even gone as far as getting anti-allergy bedding and a specialized mattress, plus specific lotions and shampoos designed not to irritate the skin, but nothing seems to make a dent. 😕😕

Just because you test positive for mites doesn't mean that's the root cause of everything. I also tested positive for mites and ragweed pollen, but those weren't my main issues; my real struggle was extremely dry skin that was constantly prone to eczema and dermatitis. I went through every greasy moisturizer and hydrating cream on the market until I finally discovered products containing urea, and since then, my problems have almost entirely vanished... and believe me, I've dealt with enough issues to require up to fifteen injections in a single month.
