Hey everyone—I’ve been struggling with pneumonia for the last two weeks, and honestly, I was desperate. I even tried rubbing goose and lard fat on my chest and back, using newspaper as a compress for the poultice. Then, just a few days ago, I read somewhere that you shouldn't use newsprint because of the lead content. Now I'm freaking out... could I have actually absorbed lead through my skin like that? Please, if anyone knows anything, let me know.
Can someone please help me out before I head to the doctor? For about 15 nights now, I haven't been able to sleep because my skin is itching like crazy—I don't have any blisters, just these tiny little bumps here and there that feel uncomfortable. I actually thought the itching might be related to kidney inflammation, so I went to get some tests done, but everything came back fine. Tonight, while I was over at my brother's place hanging out with my nephew, I noticed they both have these little welts on their arms and they're itching too. They figured it wasn't mosquitoes. Funny thing is, I slept in the living room last night without any issues, but my bedroom is a total disaster zone right now. The night before last, I actually felt something bite me, which triggered the itch, but I don't see any visible welts. Can anyone explain if this is mites or something else common around here? I've been reading stuff online but honestly, I’m just getting more confused. Thanks for any input.
