That is almost certainly due to the tonsils. My kids always had swollen nodes like that until we finally dealt with their tonsillitis. When they had severe infections—like a bad case of strep throat—those lymph nodes would get, I guess, about the size of a marble. It was quite noticeable. Usually, swollen nodes are just a sign of some kind of inflammation in that area. Since your son has chronic tonsillitis (if I understood correctly, you are preparing for surgery), those tonsils are essentially acting as a constant source of inflammation.

Once you finish the entire pack, I guess you should start the next one immediately—without taking any days off. You can take the whole second pack or just enough to delay your period... after that, you take a seven-day break, then go back to your usual routine.
I did this over the summer; it didn't cause me any issues, I suppose.

I used Hamycin for my treatment—though, of course, everything I took, my husband took as well. Did your partner undergo treatment too? I wonder if that might be why it keeps coming back for you.
