Changes to referee guidelines

graniteviper37 said:2.) It might not be an official rule, but look at what happened a few months back in Italy.
Basically, after scoring from a penalty, Parma's Domenico Morfeo headed straight for the ball in the net—if I remember right, he cut the lead to 2-1 about five minutes before the whistle.
The keeper was still face-down on the grass—nowhere near the ball.
Morfeo grabs it and starts heading toward the center circle when this absolute tank of a player just bulldozes him. (Morfeo is small and fragile 😬 so he just folded onto the turf)
And the ref—who apparently saw the whole thing—gives Morfeo a yellow card???
To make matters worse, that was his second one—it should have been a red.🙄
From what I recall, under the current guidelines, a player isn't supposed to go into the goal to grab the ball and carry it back to the center—it usually just triggers a confrontation.
