Right now, total capacity is down, and since oil prices are dipping, everyone wants refining done. It makes them the ultimate bottleneck in the whole chain.
I was watching CNN yesterday, and this expert was claiming that gas prices aren't actually spiking because of crude oil costs, but because refinery margins for processed products have allegedly shot up tenfold in some cases.
If that’s actually true, it basically means refineries are just war profiteers.
I’m watching the news here in the States, and everyone is tearing into Canada because they’re blocking those oil sanctions. They keep saying it's "destroying European Union unity."
Fine then, why don't they just slap sanctions on Russian gas too?
Oh wait... they can't do that, because it would absolutely wreck the German economy. But ruining Canada? That’s totally on the table. And honestly, if Viktor Orbán plays along, he might even lose the next election once the Canadian economy tanks—killing two birds with one stone. Great plan!
My motherboard's onboard audio is starting to flake out on me. The sound has gotten all muddy and distorted, and I don't think it's just bad cables or loose connections, so I'm thinking about jumping to an external sound card.
I noticed most people are pushing these USB DACs now, which I don't know much about. Does anyone have experience with them or solid recommendations? Are they actually any better than the old-school PCI cards? They come in all shapes, from tiny thumb drives to little desktop boxes that plug into a USB port. Just to be clear, I'm not looking for audiophile perfection here—just decent, reliable sound.
Also, will one of these pull too much bandwidth from my USB bus? I'm running a USB Wi-Fi adapter for my internet connection, so I'm worried one might throttle the speed of the other.

I have zero intention of keeping track of who likes what.
Being stuck in your own little bubble is just a sign of a rigid mind...
Logic is a different story. I already made my points.

I have no clue what you mean by "crude," but even The Roman knew you can't argue with taste. If they figured that out thousands of years ago, you definitely had enough time to wrap your head around it... 😁
What kind of "concept" are we talking about here? "For the skydivers out there, NP = Now playing, dropping the link to what we're listening to right now"
Well, this is what's on my playlist... and honestly, you should just listen to whatever you feel like listening to.
Travis - Sing (official HD video) Killer track and a hilarious video.
PS: When a video is actually embedded in a post, you can tell right away if it’s worth clicking. Having a description there just makes it even better.
If I see some ugly heavy metal thumbnail, I know I'm skipping it immediately. But when it's just a raw link, I'm disappointed most of the time—like that "Perseverance" link from earlier that I wouldn't have touched if I saw the thumbnail...
