How to sign up for Medicare in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
If I'm currently unemployed, do I still get my health coverage automatically, or am I required to be officially registered with the Department of Labor?
Or is it enough to just physically show up at a local Medicare office once every three months so they can verify that I'm actually living here in the States?

Does anyone here actually know how you go about getting a routing number through Wise?

I’m a bit confused by this whole thing where they say an account number is 'shared with others'—basically meaning it isn't unique to just me. If that's the case, how does a deposit even work? Besides the routing number and the SWIFT code, what else am I supposed to be sending over?

Basically, if I use Wise, will I get a specific routing number that I can just hand off to someone else so they can wire me money and call it a day? Is there really nothing else required beyond that?

Also, while we're at it, does anyone know which payment services actually offer a unique account number? I’m looking for something where I can just provide the routing number and the SWIFT, and then my job is done.
Dry / Chapped Lips in Health ·
Can someone point me toward a good cream to help heal a little cut on my lip? It’s just a tiny thing, but I want it gone fast. Please, don't just suggest Vaseline—I'm looking for an actual treatment cream.

I've narrowed it down to these two:

Does that panthenol stuff actually work for healing, or does it have anything to do with fungi?
Project: Find a Friend (Classifieds / Meetup Thread) in Psychology & Therapy ·
wanderingbadger0 said:Is there anyone aged 30 or older (male or female) residing in the eastern part of Washington, D.C., looking for new companionship for trips to the cinema, long walks, occasional outings, and deep, meaningful conversations? I am specifically seeking those who hold no prejudices against individuals dealing with mental health challenges. I am searching for genuine friendship, entirely free of hidden agendas.

If you find that this description resonates with you, please take a moment to review my previous posts first to get a sense of my perspectives. If our viewpoints do not align, I kindly ask that you refrain from reaching out. There is little sense in wasting time on messaging when so much can be learned about a person through their written thoughts, allowing us to see immediately if we share common ground, wouldn't you agree? 🙂

Furthermore, should you decide to reach out, I ask that you be fair and contact me using an established profile so that I may also review your views. I will not be responding to accounts with zero posts.

Wonderful. Now just reply to the message I sent you. That's all. Not like you're receiving thousands of messages anyway, right? 😛

I'm certainly not the first person you haven't replied to... lovely, just keep posting the same ad over and over.

Yeah, and I didn't exactly write down that I don't hate butterflies, bees, or seahorses just so you wouldn't disagree with my "stances"...

Alright, I’ll just drop this here instead of starting yet another thread. This is basically my catch-all space for random thoughts. Lately, I've been thinking about Lionel Messi. Specifically, why does he score so many damn goals? It’s wild when you compare him to other elite athletes who clearly have more raw power, size, or sheer physical dominance. Look, strength, sprinting speed, or height—neither Luka Modrić nor Neymar are exactly giants—doesn't seem to be the deciding factor in soccer. But what is it? What does he have that all those other players at massive clubs are missing?

Is it his motor skills, his surgical precision, or maybe just his tactical reading of the game? The way he dribbles and tracks the flow of play is honestly bizarre. When Ćiro called him an alien and said he was operating on a completely different level than everyone else... well, maybe there was some truth to that. 🙂

Is it just pure, unadulterated genius? Because let's face it, plenty of other players train their hearts out and leave everything on the field every single match—but clearly, that isn't enough. You need that specific kind of natural talent he possesses, don't you?
The Cloverfield Paradox (2018) in Movies ·
For those who appreciate the one and only original Cloverfield. Just 4 minutes of all the scenes where the monster actually shows up.

Enjoy 🙂

Cloverfield - Kaiju scenes -

As for this new movie... I haven't sat down to watch it yet, but honestly, just looking at the trailer and the clips floating around YouTube, it looks like total garbage.

To me, Cloverfield (2008) remains the only realistic monster movie out there. That’s how these things—whether they're about monsters or aliens—should actually feel. They shouldn't be played out like Godzilla or King Kong. I think that’s exactly why the original film blew up and became such a hit; it actually had that sense of grounded dread that everyone else is missing. And the worst part? It’s not even that hard to pull off. I’d take a movie like that over something like Transformers or Pacific Rim any day. Those movies feel more like animated cartoons to me; sure, the CGI is great, but from a design and storytelling perspective, the creatures just don't feel believable.
