Streptococcus and Veillonella presence in Health ·
Daniel Campbell6 said:Urethral swab - bacterial anaerobic results:
Penicillin
Amoxicillin + clavulanic acid
Cephalexin
Azithromycin
Erythromycin
Clindamycin
- all of the above are marked S (susceptible) for both Veillonella parvula and Streptococcus

Does this mean they actually found Veillonella parvula and Streptococcus? Does anyone know anything about them... how dangerous are they?😕

I dealt with Streptococcus once; I took antibiotics and felt much better, though I still need to go back for a follow-up checkup.🤷
Urology appointment in Health ·
Once you receive a referral for a urologist, they will almost certainly send you off to complete the following steps...

A urine culture (you’ll need to collect a midstream sample from your first morning urine into a sterile cup; you can pick one up at any local CVS or Walgreens)

A microbiological ejaculate test (you provide the sample in a sterile container provided by the clinic; you could technically do this at home, but you would need to deliver it within two hours while maintaining a specific temperature, likely around 4°C—so it’s probably easier to just do it there. You should also abstain for about two or three days beforehand to ensure the most accurate results)

A urethral swab (I should warn you, this part can be quite uncomfortable. They typically use three swabs inserted about an inch into the urethra, which is rather painful... you might feel some soreness afterward when urinating or during ejaculation. It is absolutely vital that you do not urinate for four hours prior to the swab to ensure the test is successful)

THE PROCEDURES LISTED ABOVE ARE PERFORMED AT THE MEDICAL CENTER ON ROCKFELLER PLAZA IN WASHINGTON, D.C., AND WILL COST APPROXIMATELY $100.

PSA and f/tPSA tests serve as prostate markers... (these are conducted at hospitals roughly every two weeks. You do need to make an appointment... it simply involves a blood draw, and you wait about 14 days for the results)

A urotractal ultrasound is performed at hospitals and requires an appointment... if they are doing an external Doppler scan, you should avoid urinating for about 1.5 hours beforehand, and it helps to stick to light or soft foods for a few days leading up to it...)

THESE SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE AT HOSPITALS AND SOMEALLY LOCAL COMMUNITY HEALTH CLINICS...
