Living with HPV

Greetings, everyone! I am curious about the typical symptoms of HPV. I have heard reports of small warts appearing on the penis, but in my case, the issue is slightly different; instead of being on the shaft, they are located in the pubic area... (I'm not quite sure of the medical term for that region, so please excuse my phrasing!). There are about 4 or 5 small bumps there. Is it possible that this could be HPV, or does it not necessarily have to be? I ask because many people I have spoken with mentioned their warts appeared specifically on the penis.
