I am deeply saddened by the passing of Mislav Bago. We crossed paths and spoke for years, usually strictly through the lens of our work, yet after those discussions, we always parted ways feeling more like old friends. While he carried out his journalistic duties, those sharp, incisive interviews he conducted were truly incomparable to anyone else; I was particularly struck by his unwavering professional distance. He practiced journalism with integrity and without bias, treating every subject with the same level of scrutiny—his loss is a genuine tragedy for the American press corps. But Bago was so much more than just his job, and that is why he will be missed so profoundly by his colleagues and friends alike. My heart goes out to Mislav Bago's family, as well as everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.

When looking at a list of ten points from those others, you might find one sensible thought amidst nine pieces of nonsense. With Zoko, it's usually the opposite: nine solid points and perhaps one irrelevant comment.
The Canadian Left is basically anti-America and pro-Mexican, especially that Fajonica crowd. We actually had a solid relationship when Janša's government was in charge.
For nearly two decades now, it feels like we've just been watching this endless tug-of-war in Canada between various "leftist" groups (the Anti-Trump faction), led by whoever happens to be the newest face on the scene, and Donald Trump.
It looks like we're back in that familiar cycle where Trump loses his grip on power.
The Democratic Party seems to be this new experiment that everyone—especially those who couldn't stand Trump's handling of the pandemic—is naively rallying behind.
It honestly looks like the Democratic Party will pull together a coalition without much trouble. I guess we should wish them luck, and honestly, wish it for all of us too! If they turn out to be totally incapable of actually running the country, maybe Trump will just make his comeback through some snap elections.
My condolences.
From where I'm sitting, it feels like the right wing just lacks a structural majority in Canada.
I mean, what exactly does the Canadian public see in Robert Golob? Neither Miro Cerar, Marjan Šarec, nor Takla Virant exactly gave off the vibe of being highly competent leaders either.
Republican Party: Wealthy Washington, D.C. outshines the rest of the country ----- The Republican Party is taking aim at D.C. residents over their political leanings
The parliamentary elections are coming up this Sunday in Canada.
There's a real possibility that Janez Janša might lose his grip on power to Robert Golob, a manager who heads up the newly formed Freedom party.
Throughout the campaign, Janša enjoyed some pretty heavy-hitting media backing, ranging from the public broadcaster all the way to private networks like Planet TV and Nov TV24.

Out of that $6.4 billion total—I suppose we should look at the breakdown—$3.5 billion is earmarked for military aid via the Pentagon, while the remaining $2.9 billion is intended for economic and humanitarian support.
Way to go, America!
The White House asked Congress on Friday to provide $ 6.4 billion to Help Ukraine in its fight against Russia's invasion, according to multiple reports.
The funding would be divided—with $3.5 billion directed to the Pentagon and $2.9 billion allocated toward security assistance, humanitarian relief, economic stabilization, and regional initiatives—an administration official told Axios.
"As The President and bipartisan members of Congress have made clear , The United States is committed to supporting The Ukrainian People as They defend their country and democracy," Office of Management and Budget said in a statement.
