Just wanted to jump in here and share my thoughts... personally, I think VMware is hands down the easiest and most reliable solution out there for most users.
You can run all sorts of different operating systems on it, and the interface is just incredibly intuitive.
One huge plus is that once you register it, the license key stays put in your registry as long as you're on your current OS. You can always uninstall the app after testing, just make sure to check the box to keep the license info during removal.
That’s about it from me. Hope this helps!
I know it’s tough on you, and honestly, it’s hard to find the right words to comfort her. Maybe try walking her through the "why" behind the surgery—focusing on all those daily struggles she’ll finally be able to leave behind once she recovers. I’m actually a little younger than your mom, and I have a friend who’s even younger than me; she went through a similar procedure about five or six years ago. She doesn't really like talking about it, but I know she dealt with some rough patches before things finally turned around. We actually caught up yesterday while she was out walking her dog, and she was telling me how sick her pup got—she ended up staying up all night looking after her, and the poor thing only weighs maybe fifteen pounds...
The doctor might just want her to take it easy for a little while, but once everything heals up properly, she should feel like herself again.
I’ll reach out to my friend and see if I can get more insight, but in the meantime, give your mom a huge hug from me. Tell her plenty of us here are thinking of her and sending nothing but good vibes her way.😘
That’s just how I roll. I always try to look on the bright side and focus on the good in people, often ignoring the red flags. But if I actually open up and get vulnerable, only to have someone mock me for it, I shut down immediately—sort of like a snail retreating into its shell. This doctor is about the same age as my daughter, so I really see him more as a close friend than just a physician.
My biggest flaw is probably how intensely I feel things; when I love someone, I do, and when I don't, I don't. It’s pretty hard for me to hide it when someone starts getting on my nerves.
Regarding the medication, both my physical therapist and my endocrinologist suggested this as a precaution. They turned down the Evista because of my lipid levels, so they recommended Bonviv instead.
Thanks for all the support.🙂
I haven't had a chance to sit down with my primary care physician yet—and I really value his opinion—to figure out our next steps. This was just my first dose.
Back when I was dealing with those skin growths that were showing through my clothes during the summer, a hundred different people told me I should just have them removed. I didn't listen to any of them. But then, during a checkup, my doctor used that stethoscope thing you see doctors wearing around their necks in movies, looked at me with this surprised expression, and asked, "Why haven't you had these taken off?"
I didn't waste any time. I grabbed a referral immediately, and just a few weeks later, a surgeon cleared them right out.
We're lucky to have some incredibly talented surgeons and specialists here in town.
Wait, you're saying it could be because of other medications?! Honestly, nobody warned me about that, and no one even bothered to ask what else I was taking. And trust me, I'm taking quite a few.🙂
I had no idea about the injections. Honestly, that would have been a much better way to go. If I'd known, I wouldn't be going through this struggle every four months.
I have to admit, though, I’m feeling a bit better today. Had a light lunch, my temperature is manageable, and the pain has actually dialed back quite a bit.
I think I might have just run out of patience with the old routine.
Still, I'll probably give some thought to starting a new prescription once January rolls around.☕

I know she felt absolutely terrible on them—but honestly, she was juggling seven other different pills at the time, so eventually, she just gave up on this one too
I don't know... you're saying you just started yesterday? Look, with meds, the side effects usually taper off after a few days, so if you can possibly hang in there, just try to power through
But seriously, if it keeps going like this, go see your doctor and ask for some alternatives
And maybe everything will turn out fine 🙂
Thanks for the support. I know I need to push through, but honestly, I just don't have the energy to go through this whole cycle again in a month. I always assumed the body would just accept the meds without a fight, but not like this... I feel like I spend more time in the bathroom than in the kitchen. I think you get where I'm coming from.🙂
Has anyone here had any experience taking this medication?😢
I’ve been prescribed it because I already have osteopenia and I'm getting pretty close to the threshold for osteoporosis.
I took my first dose yesterday, and honestly, I feel terrible.
The digestive issues are hard to even describe, and there's this unbearable pain in my thoracic spine muscles... I can barely move. The promotional materials actually mention that it is possible to feel like you have the flu.
It's such a bummer. Even though it's only once a month, I really don't know if I want to go through this torture again.😵
