Dealing with Multiple Sclerosis? in Health ·
A close friend of mine just got diagnosed with this condition, so I was wondering if anyone here actually knows anything about it...
how does it progress, and what kind of stuff should we be looking out for once she hits her 40s?
The diagnosis happened when she was just two years old, and now she’s 36. She already had spinal surgery—scoliosis with thoracic lordosis, I think—and she also had to have surgery on her Achilles tendons...
Lately, though, she's dealing with osteoarthritis in both hips, her knees, and her right shoulder...
It feels like there's absolutely nothing out there to help us understand this disease, so if anyone has any insight at all, please...
thanks

Look, you don't necessarily need to see blood in your stool, and honestly, age doesn't even matter much here
It’s super likely it's just hemorrhoids, especially if you spend most of your day stuck in an office chair
Those things usually clear up on their own after a few days, I guess, but you should definitely go see a doctor just to be safe

Look, I’m definitely no medical expert or anything, but my friend’s mom actually had that surgery done and she feels absolutely fantastic now
Before the procedure, she couldn't even sneeze without worrying about it, but now? She's totally fine. And get this—she works as a nurse at a major hospital, so she's constantly lifting patients and doing all that heavy lifting, yet she hasn't run into any issues at all
It’s been about 3 years since her surgery
